Born in Guadalcanal (Seville) and raised in Córdoba, Vicente Amigo is considered, not only in Spain but also in the rest of the world, one of the most virtuous and most prestigious artists of his generation and a tireless researcher of the sonic possibilities of flamenco music. Other musicians, ‘cantaores’ and ‘bailaores’ increasingly complement its performance in a stylish and exciting collaboration that makes the spectacle of flamenco, often contaminated with other musical genres. Vicente Amigo has performed with artists like Camarón, Sting, Alejandro Sanz, Rosario, Carmen Linares, Manolo Sanlucar, Khaled and Miguel Bose, and has shared the stage with John McLaughlin, Al Di Meola and Milton Nascimento. In 1992 he participated in the concert Leyendas guitarra de Paco de Lucía in Seville, Keith Richards and Bob Dylan. In the fourteenth edition of the Drome Festival will present his latest album Paseo de Gracia, which includes collaborations with some of the most important artists of the current Spanish music scene like Alejandro Sanz, Enrique and Estrella Morente and Niña Pastori, and his most loyal collaborators such as Tino di Geraldo, Paquito González, Antonio Ramos ‘Maca’ and Alexis Lefevre.
