on tour in Sardinia for the exhibition “An Island of Music 2012″
Wednesday, July 25 at 21.30, the amphitheater of Santa Marina Villanovaforru continues the musical activity, as part of “An Island of Music in 2012″ the Lyric Theatre of Cagliari, with a catchy musical evening titled: From the Renaissance to the jazz. The protagonists are the Brass Quintet of the Lyric Theatre of Cagliari, especially chamber music orchestra of the Opera, composed by: Vinicius Allegrini, Corrias Louis (trumpet), Luke Mangini (trombone), Lorenzo Panebianco (horn), Nicola Di Grigoli ( tuba).
The music program, and featuring rarely heard, and chamber music repertoire includes songs from classic to contemporary, ranging in captivating sounds of world music and pop.
The other three dates are: Thursday, July 26 to 21 to Gremio of the peasants of San Giovanni di Oristano, Friday July 27 at Theatre 21 at the Mutual of Carlisle, Saturday, July 28th at 21.30 at the Archaeological Museum in Pula.
The show relies on the collaboration of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia, the Fondazione Banco di Sardegna, the Capitta & Partners and the Town Councils of Villanovaforru, Oristano, Carlisle, Pula.

Orchestra of the Opera – Founded in 1933 and has consolidated over the years, a fruitful relationship with the major Italian directors, including Tullio Serafin, Vittorio Gui, Antonino Votto, Guido Cantelli, Franco Ferrara, Franco Capuana, Willy Ferrero, and with such composers as Ottorino Respighi, Ildebrando Pizzetti, Ermanno Wolf Ferrari, Riccardo Zandonai, Alfredo Casella. Date back to the 50s-60s of last century on the podium appearances by Lorin Maazel, Lovro von Matacic, Claudio Abbado, Sergiu Celibidache, Riccardo Muti, and collaboration with Gioconda De Vito, Leonid Kogan, Henryk Szering, Andrés Navarre, Dino Ciani, Maria Tipo, Nikita Magaloff, Wilhelm Kempff, Martha Argerich. In recent years the orchestra has collaborated, among others, with conductors such as Lorin Maazel, Georges Pretre, Emmanuel Krivine, Mstislav Rostropovich, Ton Koopman, Iván Fischer, Frans Brüggen, Carlo Maria Giulini, Gennadi Rozhdestvensky, Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, Neville Marriner, Christopher Hogwood, Hartmut Haenchen and with soloists such as Martha Argerich, Aldo Ciccolini, Kim Kashkashian, Viktoria Mullova, Misha Maisky, Truls Mørk, Sabine Meyer, Yuri Bashmet, Salvatore Accardo, Bernadette Manca di Nissa, Ruggero Raimondi, Mariella Devia, Anna Caterina Antonacci. Gérard Korsten from 1999 to 2005 he served as musical director and has, among other things, directed the first performance of the national, Die Ägyptische Helena by Richard Strauss, Weber’s Euryanthe and A Village Romeo and Juliet of Delius. In recent years the orchestra has collaborated regularly with Lorin Maazel, performing in 1999, toured Europe and running a successful series of concerts. In 2002 the Orchestra and Chorus of the Lyric Theatre has represented Italy in the review Italienische Nacht, organized by the Bayerischer Rundfunk in Munich and Monaco Gasteig broadcast live on Bavarian radio. In 2005 they attended a concert in honor of the Italian President Carlo Azeglio Ciampi, in 2010, they performed with great success, the 98 th Festival of Wiesbaden Lucia di Lammermoor, for the direction and the direction of Stephen Ranzani by Denis Krief. Edition is in preparation for the recording of A Village Romeo and Juliet by Delius. For Rai recorded in 1998, La Bohème (with Andrea Bocelli as Rodolfo), broadcast around the world, and, in 2003, Don Pasquale (published on DVD by Rai Trade).
