RIFUGIO DI VINO – CAGLIARI – SATURDAY JULY 21

Cagliari “Rifugio di Vino” is an event that aims to support, qualify and disseminate knowledge of the bomb shelter in via Don Bosco in Cagliari, through guided night traveling with the particular combination of Wine & Culture and at the same time promote the ‘food and wine tasting for the island through the stages of fine wines and local products.
Participants will be offered features tastings of wines and islanders cannonau arising from the wine and gastronomic traditions of the island territory.
“A natural informality”, the encounter between culture and the greatest wines in the Second World War air raid shelter in the city.

Now become a weekly event, so loved by the public of ‘the city’s culture and gastronomy. An appointment to the discovery of the historic spaces of the city and the production of food and wine island.

It is therefore an expression of ‘light’ that combines the historical element of the area visited, for an intriguing conversation with the guests, accompanied by tastings of typical products and wines islanders.

When and where
The event will take place Saturday, July 21 at 21:00 inside the tunnel in via the air-raid Shelter Don Bosco, entirely carved on the rock. Adequate historical-cultural scenario to host an event in which you enhance products and wines that are definitely strong roots in the history of ‘island.

The project
Cagliari “Wine Lodge” will be structured as a sensory journey traveling, which will allow visitors to know the wines from local wineries and at the same time get a guided tour through the ‘fascinating history of the bomb shelter. Historical notes:
For almost the entire length of the tunnel are present benches with the function of the seat against the wall on both sides. Along the tunnel are present, also, 14 lateral compartments.
