SASSARI BLUES&BEER – 5-6 LUGLIO
5 and 6 July 2012, Sassari -
The historical center of Sassari, in this case the beautiful Piazza Santa Caterina, which is overlooked by the majestic church of that name and the Palace of Canopoleno; Frasso Square and square off Macao, corners, and characteristic of the heart of the old city, will be filled and Thursday 5 Friday, July 6 of blues music and fans of the genre.
Beer & Blues Festival The Sassari comes in its third edition and it offers important international names.
On July 5, in Piazza Santa Caterina break the ice of Palermo Pan of the devil, who, formed in 2006, and have held an EP, an LP and over two hundred live performances.
Follows, at 22, the spectacle of a famous band in the genre: the British Dr. Feelgood. Born in 1971 and known as the exponents of pub rock genre today are: Kevin Morris on drums, Phil Mitchell on bass, Steve Walwyn on guitar and Robert Kane on vocals.
Friday, July 6 in Macao off from 19.30 you can listen to Oristano Sunsweet Blues Revenge (Luca Canu on bass, Alessandro Cau Irene Loche on drums and guitar) and Sassari Texas Strong.
By 21, square Square Frasso is scheduled concert by Big Joe Louis and the Blues Kings. Big Joe Louis was born in Jamaica and moved to the United Kingdom in the ’70s, his band was formed in the late ’80s and ’50s mixes blues and rock’n’roll, for the occasion appreciated will be the guest harmonica player Little George Sueref, English Greek origin, well known in Europe.
To warm up the audience the concert will be preceded by the exhibition of Francis More, bluesman Sardinian yet Milanese by adoption, accompanying their voices with instruments like acoustic guitar, dobro, Weissenborn, banjo, lap steel and harmonica.
To do justice to the title of the festival there will be various stand-tasting beers scattered in small squares in the heart of the historic center.
