WORLD CUP BEACHVOLLEY -ARBATAX – 27 JUNE TO 1 JULY

The Summer 2012 for Sardinia also means World Cup and Olympics. In fact, from June 26 to July 1, in the beautiful Red Rocks of Arbatax, there will be a Beach Volleyball tournament at continental qualification is valid for the next Olympics in London in 2012 which will give a pass to England in two pairs of men and 2 female.

The event will be organized by the Italian Volleyball Federation Regional Committee in collaboration with Sardinia Sardinia Region, the Province and of course the City of Ogliastra Tortolì.

But here are some numbers to make better the scope of the sports event to be organized: 2,000 tons of sand, 6 playing fields, 15,000 square feet of commercial and hospitality area, with 48 national teams, 3,000 seats in center field, 250 mikasa balls, 100 volunteers on the field, 17 judges, scoring 16, 30,000 bottles of water, 1 ton of fruit, 208 games to play, 10 national and 30 international referees, volunteers, 100 staff and an investment of € 750,000.

The event will be broadcast in 124 countries (with Rai Sport which will monitor the most important games live) in Sardinia and take the brightest stars of beach volleyball world.
