ISOLABIRRA – THE ISLAND THAT WAS NOT THERE – GONNESA – JUNE 23

IsolaBirra is a show dedicated to craft beer and quality to 360 °. During the event, to be held in Gonnesa June 23, 2012, seven brewers will tell you how does their beer, by which ingredients to life and how this product is a result dl 3500 years long history. IsolaBirra will therefore be a festival of beer, all different and characterized by use of unique ingredients and tied to their place of production and that may be accompanied by the rich culinary offerings that will be offered during the event. Seven breweries will be present at IsolaBirra, five of which will be the regional production of Sardinia, which is the Brewery Barley (Marazion), the brewery of Cagliari (Cagliari), the Brewery Domusnovas (Domusnovas), the Brewery Lara (Tertenia), the Rubiu brewery (Sant’Antioco). Sardinian brewery will be accompanied also two breweries nazionli guests, or the brewery’s Olmaia (Montepulciano), and the brewery Toccalmatto (Bicester). In addition to Isolabirra will also present a corner reserved for sour beers, or those spontaneous fermentation. Sour beers are world apart, a niche within a niche of quality beers, a world the result of a centuries-old tradition still brought forward by a few producers in a region of Belgium well defined: the Pajottenland. The event will also host the first IsolaBirra homebrewing competition in Sardinia. The competition is open to all homebrewers and Italians will take place on the morning of June 23, with the collaboration of some of the more degustatoti and experts at national level. For IsolaBirra are also planning two tasting laboratories to which you can participate by being followed by the expert guidance of professional tasters. This is a limited number of laboratories for which a reservation is required. For lovers of reading then it will also set up a stand of books about beer culture.
