SunDisc 2015, un grande torneo hat e una grande occasione per scoprire uno dei luoghi più belli del mondo*

Il Poetto di Quartu Sant’Elena ospita la prima edizione del torneo internazionale di Beach Ultimate Frisbee della Sardegna.

L’Ultimate Frisbee è uno sport a squadre miste che si gioca col frisbee: scopo del gioco è ricevere il disco nella meta avversaria attraverso passaggi fra compagni di squadra, e si basa sul principio del fair play (garantito dall’assenza di arbitro che stimola, di fatto, la risoluzione amichevole delle controversie) e sulla presenza di giocatrici e di giocatori in campo contemporaneamente.

Teatro del Sundisc sarà il litorale del Margine Rosso, fronte ristorante “I Gabbiani”, dove in circa 4700 metri quadri di arenile saranno ospitati due campi da gioco più gazebi e attrezzature varie.

Si giocherà in campi di metri 25×75, con cinque giocatori in campo per squadra, per la durata di 45’ a partita, salvo la finale che durerà 60’.

Aperitivo di benvenuto per gli atleti venerdi 17 pomeriggio, le gare iniziano sabato dalle 9 alle 18, il clou domenica pomeriggio con le semifinali e la finale.

The tournament will be held in one of the most beautiful islands of the Mediterranean sea with over 300 days per year of clear sky and 365 days per year of clear water: Sardinia.

Fee

60 euros without accomodation: deadline 15th of March 2015
100 euros with accomodation included: deadline 28th of February 2015.

For those choosing the accomodation inclusive fee, the accomodation includes:

- two nights in four-bed rooms in a hotel close to the beach and international breakfast included
– triple rooms can also be booked adding 10 euros per player to the basic player fee
– double rooms can also be booked adding 25 euros per player to the basic player fee
– single rooms can also be booked adding 60 euros per player to the basic player fee

NOTE: additional nights can be booked at the following prices (per person, per night): 22,50 euros in 4-beds room, 26 euros in triple, 34,50 euros in duoble and 52 euros in single room.

The fee includes:

Two days of fun ultimate games in 2 soft sand beach fields
Bus shuttle from the hotel to the fields
Sardinian dinner on Saturday and party close to the beach and the hotel
2 lunches
Water on the fields
Gadget
Beer race and prizes

Where?

Poetto beach of Cagliari. One of the largest beaches in Europe with clear and crystalline water on one side and the Saline Regional Park of Molentargius on the other side, one of the few places in Europe where the greater flamingos (known also as the Phoenicopterus roseus) live.
Cagliari and the tournament spots are well connected to the airport through frequent and cheap train links.

When?

From the 18th of April 2015 (morning) to the 19th of April 2015 (late afternoon). Of course, we will be happy to have you here longer for some extra ultimate or for sightseeing the surroundings and our beautiful city.
