Dal 27 novembre al 6 dicembre 2014 si svolgerà a Cagliari la dodicesima edizione di Uno Sguardo Normale Expo – Sardinia Queer Short Film Festival.

Il Sardinia Queer Short Film Festival è un concorso cinematografico internazionale organizzato dall’ARC, l’associazione l.g.b.t. di Cagliari, dal Circolo F.I.C.C. ARCinema e dall’Associazione Studentesca universitARC, dedicato a cortometraggi, inediti e non, a tematica queer, gay, lesbica, bisessuale e transgender, in tutte le possibili diverse accezioni, prospettive e realtà.

Il Festival si inserisce nel cartellone di iniziative di Uno Sguardo Normale Expo, rassegna di cinema, letteratura e cultura queer che l’ARC porta avanti fin dal 2003. L’Associazione si propone così, anche quest’anno, di sensibilizzare la società – attraverso l’arte come strumento universale di comunicazione – sui temi delle naturali differenze di orientamento sessuale e di identità di genere, e sulla necessità di raggiungere equivalenti diritti civili per tutte e tutti.

Attraverso il Festival, l’ARC persegue inoltre l’obiettivo di valorizzare e promuovere le produzioni cinematografiche, anche piccole e piccolissime, dedicate a questo tema; creare un luogo di incontro per il pubblico, in cui sia possibile discutere e socializzare; favorire il confronto e lo scambio culturale tra le produzioni di paesi diversi; offrire alla città di Cagliari – ancor più considerando l’eccezionale opportunità offerta dalla sua candidatura come Capitale Europea della Cultura 2019 – la possibilità di conoscere un mondo cinematografico ancora poco conosciuto.

Quest’anno ARC e ARCinema hanno deciso di istituire – oltre al Premio della Giuria (2000 euro) e al Premio del Pubblico (500 euro) – anche un premio per il cortometraggio che saprà meglio raccontare la realtà queer in Sardegna.

La deadline per la presentazione delle opere è fissata al 20 ottobre 2014.

A breve saranno pubblicati il programma del Festival e i lungometraggi in mostra, gli ospiti e la composizione della Giuria.

usn_regolamento_2014From November 27 to December 6, 2014 will be held in Cagliari the twelfth edition of A Closer Look Normal Expo – Sardinia Queer Short Film Festival.

The Sardinia Queer Short Film Festival is an international film competition organized by the ARC, the Association LGBT of Cagliari, the Circle F.I.C.C. ARCinema and universitARC Student Association, dedicated to short films, previously unseen themed queer, gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people, in all the possible different meanings, perspectives and realities.

The Festival is part of the program of activities of A Look Normal Expo, an exhibition of film, literature and queer culture that carries on the ARC since 2003 The Association proposes that, this year, to raise awareness in society – through art as a universal tool of communication – on the topics of natural differences in sexual orientation and gender identity, and the need to achieve equal civil rights for all and all.

Through the Festival, the ARC also pursues the objective of enhancing and promoting the film productions, including small and small, dedicated to this theme; create a meeting place for the public, where we can discuss and socialize; foster dialogue and cultural exchange between the productions of different countries; offer to the city of Cagliari – even more so considering the exceptional opportunity offered by his nomination as European Capital of Culture 2019 – the opportunity to learn a little known film world.

This year ARC and ARCinema agreed to establish – in addition to the Jury Prize (2000 €) and the Audience Award (€ 500) – a prize for the best short film that will tell the queer realities in Sardinia.

The deadline for submission of works is set at 20 October 2014.

A brief will be published on the Festival program and feature films in the exhibition, guests and the composition of the jury.
