Parte  mercoledì 10 settembre la XII edizione del Marina Cafè Noir: quattro giorni di festa e condivisione dei saperi a Cagliari. Incontri, presentazioni, reading e spettacoli originali, concerti,  mostre e laboratori verteranno sul tema “Non tutto è in vendita”.

Intorno a tale tematica si discuterà anche di economia della cultura, di  logiche ingiuste che portano a monetizzare le proposte culturali, di  amministrazione delle relazioni e di cura  del bene comune.

La dodicesima edizione riparte dal Caffè Savoia, nel quartiere della Marina, luogo storico, dove i membri del CHOURMO, trasformarono le loro conversazioni conviviali in uno dei più importanti festival letterari della Sardegna.
Un’esperienza che viaggia da dodici anni e che si basa su un progetto di attivismo culturale.
CHOURMO, come sottolinea Giacomo Casti: “è un progetto di comunità che prende forma nel Marina Cafè noir, un Festival che negli anni ha saputo distinguersi per i contenuti, spesso in rottura, con la cultura ufficiale” – e aggiunge – “Fare cultura, aprendo un festival con un titolo del genere, significa fare politica, politica non istituzionale”.

“Non sono in vendita la libertà, i sorrisi, le piazze, le buone letture, i rapporti umani, la leggerezza, la gioia, il confronto” (come si evince dal documento programmatico dei CHOURMO).

Così, la sua ricollocazione settembrina, diventa una scelta coraggiosa di fronte all’incertezza dei contributi, nonché lo spazio dei ritrovati Giardini sotto le mura (a parte la parentesi inaugurale del 10 settembre che avrà luogo in Piazza Savoia), luogo di confine fra i quartieri di Castello, Villanova e Marina, diventa un nuovo luogo da sperimentare e testare, da restituire alla città (come accadde a suo tempo per alcune vie del quartiere della Marina, che dopo alcune edizione del MCN furono pedonalizzate).
E come sottolinea l’Assessore al traffico Paolo Frau, l’intera area che va da Piazza Costituzione all’entrata dei Giardini Pubblici, sarà a partire dalle ore 16.00 –  dal’11 al 14 settembre 2014 –  un’isola pedonale che ospiterà  il Chourmo Village, il cuore pulsante della manifestazione.

L’edizione di quest’anno si caratterizza per le nuove collaborazioni. “In particolare –  come afferma Carlo Birocchi dei CHOURMO – parte un nuovo esperimento per il Marina Cafè Noir: la creazione nei locali della Mediateca del Mediterraneo, di un percorso fisico e di una guida consultabile, tra letteratura, cinema, arti visive e musica, che porti, come in un gioco, il possibile frequentatore del Festival a saltare da un autore a un altro, da un tema a un altro, tra quelli che il Festival propone”.

Essendo un Festival di letterature applicate, non possiamo non citare alcuni degli ospiti che saranno il vero motore pulsante di quest’edizione. Gli scrittori italiani Maurizio De Giovanni, Loriano Macchiavelli con sua figlia Sabina, Francesca Melandri, i Wu Ming, Rossella Pastorino, Francesco Abate, Alan D. Altieri, Bruno Arpaia, Michela Murgia, Milena Agus gli stranieri Nan Aurosseau, Serge Quadruppani, Stephan Enter, il disegnatore satirico Sergio Staino, il cantautore anarchico Alessio Lega, i giornalisti Sandro Ruotolo (celebre per le sue inchieste sulla Terra dei Fuochi) e Luciana Castellina, il regista Mimmo Calopresti, lo scrittore e autore radiofonico Massimo Cirri (conduttore del programma radio Caterpillar), la poetessa e attivista americana Sarah Menefee protagonista del movimento Occupy San Francisco.

Il festival dei grandi numeri, dove “Non tutto è in vendita” si concluderà domenica 14 settembre al CHOURMO  VILLAGE con la festa finale, un Concerto/Performance di Teatro-Cucina, da un racconto di Michela Murgia,  Con i KenzedomuEntertainment, Stefano Lai e i Ratapignata, nel quale come da ritrovata tradizione,  al numeroso pubblico verrà offerto un assaggio dei cibi preparati durante la festa.Wednesday, September 10th Part XII edition of the Marina Café Noir: four days of celebration and sharing of knowledge in Cagliari. The twelfth edition starts from the Savoy Cafe in the Marina district, historical site, where members of the Chourmo, transformed their convivial conversation in one of the most important literary festivals in Sardinia.

And as pointed out by Councillor Paul Frau traffic, the entire area from Constitution Square at the entrance of the Public Gardens, will be starting at 16.00 – from 11 to 14 September 2014 – a pedestrian area that will host the Chourmo Village, the heart of the event.
