Torna per il secondo anno consecutivo “Sulle Strade del Blues”, festival dedicato alla musica blues con musica, arte, poesia e suggestioni visive.

I tre giorni del festival saranno ospitati nel primo fine settimana di agosto al centro comunale Il Lazzaretto, nel borgo di Sant’Elia a Cagliari, esattamente come la prima edizione del 2013 che aveva portato in scena il meglio della produzione blues isolana registrando oltre 1500 spettatori nelle tre serate.
L’edizione numero 2 di “Sulle Strade del Blues” coinvolgerà band sarde insieme ad artisti in arrivo dalla penisola con spazio a rock, blues, country e folk nelle versioni più classiche o influenzate da suggestioni contemporanee, in elettrico o in acustico.

IL PROGRAMMA

Venerdì 1 agosto: ad aprire le danze del ricco calendario di musica e poesia sarà Jo’han’ Chànt’ney, scrittore e musicista che accompagnato da flauto e percussioni presenterà alcuni brani dal cd “Hataal – I’m Moving Grand Canyon Lands” ispirati alla musica tradizionale dei nativi americani dell’Arizona.
Secondo nome in programma il duo cagliaritano Bob Forte e Sky Dog che si richiama alla tradizione del country blues, a seguire le ballate folk del Nicola Pisu Trio da Serrenti; i Mr Wob & The Canes, musicisti veneti artefici di un blues classico che non dimentica le influenze africane, haitiane e misteriose del genere; i cagliaritani Dirty Hands, che presenteranno l’album omonimo con il loro rock blues sulla lezione degli anni ’60/’70. A chiudere la prima serata del festival sarà Paolo “Easy Harp” Demontis in arrivo da Torino con la sua armonica.

Sabato 2 agosto: si parte con Hola La Poyana, progetto solista del cagliaritano Raffaele Badas per una performance eclettica tra folk, blues e country. A seguire il progetto per chitarra, armonica e voce di Silvio Canargiu e Paolo Demontis, il trio elettrico oristanese Sunsweet Blues Revenge, i Reverendi che da Torino ci portano la lezione di Sonny Terry e Brownie McGhee. In chiusura, la band Vittorio Pitzalis and The Blues Worshippers da oltre vent’anni sulla scena blues cagliaritana .

Domenica 3 agosto: apertura della serata con lo scrittore e poeta Gianni Mascia, i cagliaritani Folksroad con le loro ballad in italiano, e a seguire Anna Cardia e Franco Montalbano. Arriva da Alessandria l’eclettico blues di The Dude’s Company. Il sipario su questa seconda edizione del festival calerà con il live di Salvatore Amara & The Easy Blues Band with The Big Family of Soul che presenterà il recentissimo lavoro discografico “The Blues Catcher”: blues tradizionale del Mississipi fuso insieme a canti dei nativi d’America e canti tradizionali sardi per un progetto che ha coinvolto ben diciannove musicisti.

“Voodoo” di Stefano Obino: pitture su carta di riso ispirate ai riti ancestrali di New Orleans.
“Revelation”, scatti firmati da A mad Tea Party, una visione di paesaggi desolanti, simbolo di un Occidente carico di illusioni. Testo di presentazione di Giacomo Pisano.
“Body and sound in soul, dalla sofferenza all’estasi”, ‘installazione audio-visiva prodotta dalle associazioni Carovana Smi e Spaziomusica: una ricerca sul tema della sofferenza umana che in alcune culture può essere motrice di arte ed espressione creativa.
“Sulle Strade del Blues I edizione”, collettiva fotografica con gli scatti migliori realizzati nell’edizione 2013 del festival.

Back for the second consecutive year, “On the Roads Blues”, a festival dedicated to blues music with music, art, poetry and visual suggestions.

The three-day festival will be hosted in the first weekend of August at the municipal center The Lazaretto, in the village of Sant’Elia in Cagliari, just like the first edition of 2013, which had staged the best of the island’s blues recording over 1500 viewers in three evenings.
The number 2 edition of “On the Road Blues” involving band sardines with artists coming from the peninsula with space rock, blues, country and folk versions more influenced by classical or contemporary references, in electric or acoustic.

THE PROGRAM

Friday, August 1: to open the dances of the rich calendar of music and poetry will Jo’han ‘Chànt’ney, writer and musician accompanied by flute and percussion will present some excerpts from the so-called “Hataal – I’m Moving Grand Canyon Lands” inspired to the traditional music of Native Americans of Arizona.

Saturday, August 2: it starts with the Poyana Hola, solo project of Cagliari Raffaele Badas for a performance of eclectic folk, blues and country. To follow the project on guitar, harmonica and vocals and Paul Silvio Canargiu Demontis, the electric trio oristanese Sunsweet Blues Revenge, the Reverend from Turin who bring us the lesson Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee.
