Torna in Sardegna Gionata Mirai, chitarrista del Teatro Degli Orrori, per due appuntamenti targati Kuntra in programma nell’isola: venerdì 6 giugno alle 21:30 all’Abetone Music Bar di Sassari e sabato 7 giugno alle 22 al Muzak di Cagliari. Un viaggio di emozioni in musica quello proposto dall’artista che con la sua chitarra acustica dal gusto hardcore, ripercorrerà il suo progetto da solista.

Il suo primo album da solista, “Allusioni” (La Tempesta/Niegazowana, 2011), è una suite di 24 minuti registrata con una chitarra 12 corde – o una sweet come all’ artista piace chiamarla. Le tracce dell’album sono tutte volutamente strumentali, perché a detta dello stesso musicista «il livello della comunicazione, questa volta, non ha a che fare con le parole, con le lingue o con dei codici formali», mentre l’attitudine è hardcore «nel senso antico del termine, quindi veloce, breve, scarno nel suono, intricato nella costruzione, ma semplice nella tecnica che lo compone». L’album è interamente in stile fingerpicking, una riscoperta dell’artista che rivela gli studi classici fatti in gioventù.

Nel 2001 nascono i Super Elastic Bubble Plastic, band post hardcore di cui è anche la voce. Il gruppo ha 3 album all’ attivo: “The Swindler” (2005, RedLed rec), “Small Rooms” (2006, RedLed rec/V2) e “Chances” (2008, Super Fake rec).

Nel 2005 inizia una forte e prolifica collaborazione con Giulio Ragno Favero, Pierpaolo Capovilla e Francesco Valente: nasce Il Teatro Degli Orrori, una delle più significative band della scena musicale indipendente italiana dell’ ultimo decennio. Sotto La Tempesta Il Teatro pubblica 3 album: “Dell’ Impero delle tenebre” (2007), “A Sangue freddo” (2009) e “Il Mondo Nuovo” (2012) .

A journey of emotions in music that proposed by the artist with his acoustic guitar flavored hardcore , retrace his solo project .

His first solo album, ” Allusions ” ( The Tempest / Niegazowana , 2011) , is a suite of 24 minutes recorded with a 12-string guitar – or a sweet as to ‘ artist likes to call it.
