ecco Il flauto magico, estremo capolavoro di Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart,
secondo titolo della Stagione lirica e di balletto 2014

Venerdì 30 maggio alle 20.30 (turno A), per la Stagione lirica e di balletto 2014 del Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, va in scena il secondo appuntamento con l’opera: Il flauto magico (Die Zauberflöte), singspiel in due atti su libretto di Emanuel Schikaneder e musica di Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (Salisburgo, 1756 – Vienna, 1791).

L’allestimento dell’opera è quello del Teatro Regio di Torino che risale ad una produzione originale del Teatro Massimo di Palermo ed è firmato, da Roberto Andò, regista palermitano, che ideò questo spettacolo che tanto successo ebbe nel Teatro Massimo della sua città, nel 2001 e per il quale scrisse: «Mozart mise dentro la Zauberflöte i suoi interessi scientifici e il grande amore per l’Egitto. Purtroppo nel corso degli anni l’attenzione teatrale si è spostata troppo verso il senso iniziatico dell’opera, perdendo di vista gli incroci meravigliosi tra gusto popolare e aspetti di pensiero. […] Ho voluto sgombrare il campo, recuperando la leggerezza e la sorpresa, attingendo a quel modello teatrale che voleva in scena attori-cantanti». Al Teatro Lirico di Cagliari la regia viene ripresa da Riccardo Massa, mentre le scene sono di Giovanni Carluccio, i costumi di Nanà Cecchi e le luci sempre dello stesso Giovanni Carluccio, ma riprese da Giuseppe Di Iorio.

Al giovane maestro Christopher Franklin, specialista mozartiano che ritorna a Cagliari dopo il Così fan tutte dello scorso anno, spetta il compito di dirigere l’Orchestra e il Coro del Teatro Lirico di Cagliari nell’estremo capolavoro del geniale compositore salisburghese. Il maestro del coro è Marco Faelli.

Rappresentato a Vienna per la prima volta al Theater auf der Wieden il 30 settembre 1791, Il flauto magico, amato da Goethe, definito da Salieri una grande opera, degna di venire rappresentata nelle maggiori solennità, considerato da Wagner una delle vette dell’arte musicale, accoglie in sé tutti i più importanti elementi stilistici della musica operistica settecentesca, fondendoli in una unità drammatico-musicale carica di significati simbolici. Ambientata in un antico Egitto immaginario, Il flauto magico è un singspiel, ossia un’azione parlata e cantata, e la prima grande opera originale in lingua tedesca. Lo stile è quello della zauberoper in cui mescolanza di tragico e di comico, di meraviglioso e di bonariamente triviale, dove elementi fiabeschi intercalati a caratteri allegorici di più svariata natura si esprimevano in un tono ora popolare ora alto, non di commedia realistica ma di racconto fantastico, senza spazio né tempi reali. Nella nuova drammaturgia operistica elaborata da Mozart, insieme al suo librettista Emanuel Schikaneder, i sentimenti dei protagonisti sono indirizzati verso un ideale etico. L’idea morale è quella della progressiva purificazione di una giovane coppia (Tamino e Pamina) sulla via della verità, del buono e del bello, secondo i canoni dell’ideologia massonica.

L’opera, della durata complessiva di 2 ore e 45 minuti circa compreso un intervallo, viene, ovviamente, rappresentata in lingua originale tedesca, ma, come ormai tradizione al Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, viene eseguita con l’ausilio dei sopratitoli che, scorrendo sull’arco scenico del boccascena, favoriscono la comprensione del libretto.

Il flauto magico, assente dal 2003 da Cagliari, viene replicato: sabato 31 maggio alle 19 (turno G), domenica 1 giugno alle 17 (turno D), martedì 3 giugno alle 20.30 (turno F), mercoledì 4 giugno alle 20.30 (turno B), venerdì 6 giugno alle 20.30 (turno C), domenica 8 giugno alle 17 (turno E). Le recite per le scuole, edizione “ridotta” dell’opera della durata complessiva di un’ora circa, sono mercoledì 28 maggio alle 11 (bambini all’opera) e giovedì 5 giugno alle 11 (ragazzi all’opera).

Friday, May 30 at 20.30 (session A) , for the 2014 Season Opera and Ballet of the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari , the scene is the second appointment with the opera : The Magic Flute (Die Zauberflöte ) , Singspiel in two acts with a libretto by Emanuel Schikaneder and music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart ( Salzburg 1756 – Vienna , 1791) .

The staging of the opera is that of the Teatro Regio in Turin, which dates back to an original production of the Teatro Massimo of Palermo and is signed by Roberto went , director of Palermo, who created this show that had so much success in the Teatro Massimo of his city, in 2001 and for which he wrote: ” Mozart’s Zauberflöte put inside his scientific interests and his love for Egypt. Unfortunately, over the years the focus has shifted too theatrical to the point of initiation of the work , losing sight of the intersections between popular taste and wonderful aspects of thought. The style is that of Zauberoper in which the mixture of tragic and comic, beautiful and good-naturedly vulgar , where fairy-tale elements interspersed with allegorical characters of a more varied nature is expressed in a high tone now popular now , not comedy but realistic tale fantastic, without space or real time . In the new dramatic opera developed by Mozart , along with his librettist Emanuel Schikaneder , the feelings of the protagonists are directed to an ethical ideal . The moral idea is that the progressive purification of a young couple ( Tamino and Pamina ) on the path of truth, goodness and beauty , according to the canons Masonic ideology .
