Domenica 25 maggio alle ore 20, nella Sala della Terrazza all’Exmà, in occasione della mostra delle tavole originali dell’Art Book di Daniele Serra VEINS AND SKULLS, a cura di Roberta Vanali, si terrà il live della sonorizzazione composta appositamente per l’evento da Candor Chasma (Corrado Altieri e Simon Balestrazzi), in collaborazione col Consorzio Camù. Si legge nel testo di presentazione:
“A scenari alieni si rifanno anche i Candor Chasma (al secolo Corrado Altieri e Simon Balestrazzi che adottano l’appellativo che allude alla regione marziana situata nel canyon della Valles Marineris la cui origine geologica sfugge alle logiche terrestri) col progetto sonoro che farà da sfondo alle illustrazioni. Nel tentativo di interazione tra spazio, suono e immagine, il duo indaga territori lontani e inesplorati attraverso l’utilizzo di synth analogici e filtri escludendo ogni intervento relativo alle percussioni. Tra post-industrial e noise, la trama acustica procede per distorsioni e riverberi al limite dell’ossessività dove s’insinuano, improvvisi e deflagranti, squarci che infrangono l’ambientazione psichedelica ed ipnotica per raggiungere un grado di aggressività disturbante. Accentuata dall’intrusione di frammenti di registrazioni EVP che irrompono ad intensificare l’atmosfera altamente straniante. In stretta sinergia con lo spazio, la sonorizzazione site specific propone una lettura alternativa delle illustrazioni, un viaggio cosmico senza schemi precisi per esplorare nuovi territori della percezione sensoriale.”
Candor Chasma nasce nella primavera del 2011 dalla collaborazione tra due veterani della scena sperimentale e industrial italiana, Corrado Altieri (Uncodified, Monosonik, TH26) e Simon Balestrazzi (T.A.C., Dream Weapon Ritual, Sarang, MOEX, Kirlian Camera). Il suono del duo si muove in territori liminali, dove stratificazioni di texture generate da strumenti analogici vengono interrotte da potenti eruzioni rumoriste, reinterpretando il power electronics delle origini da un punto di vista contemporaneo ed innovativo. Un progetto cerebralmente stimolante quanto pericoloso e psichedelico.

Sunday, May 25 at 20, in the Terrace Room of the all’Exmà , on the occasion of the exhibition of the original drawings of the Art Book of Daniel Serra VEINS AND SKULLS , edited by Roberta Vanali , will be held on the live soundtrack composed specially for the ‘ event from Candor Chasma ( Corrado Altieri and Simon Balestrazzi ) , in collaboration with the Consortium Camu . Reads the text of the presentation:
“A aliens scenarios are based also Candor Chasma (nee Corrado Altieri and Simon Balestrazzi adopting the name that alludes to the region located in the Martian canyons of Valles Marineris whose geological origin escapes the logic terrestrial ) with sound project that will be the background the illustrations . In an attempt to interaction between space, sound and image , the duo explores distant and unexplored territories through the use of analog synths and filters excluding any intervention on percussion. Among post-industrial and noise , the plot proceeds by acoustic distortion and reverb to the limit where dell’ossessività creep , sudden and explosive , patches that break the setting psychedelic and hypnotic to achieve a degree of aggressiveness disturbing. Accentuated by the intrusion of fragments of EVP recordings that burst to intensify the atmosphere highly alienating. In close collaboration with the space, the site-specific sound offers an alternative reading of the illustrations , a cosmic journey without precise patterns to explore new territories of sensory perception . “
Candor Chasma born in the spring of 2011 from the collaboration between two veterans of the Italian industrial and experimental scene , Corrado Altieri ( Uncodified , Monosonik , TH26 ) and Simon Balestrazzi (TAC , Dream Weapon Ritual, Sarang , Moex , Kirlian Camera ) . The sound of the duo moves liminal territories , where layers of texture generated by analog instruments are interrupted by powerful eruptions rumoriste , reinterpreting the origins of the power electronics from a contemporary point of view and innovative . A Project cerebrally stimulating as dangerous and psychedelic.
