Castrum Karalis…Il Quartiere di Castello

Una passeggiata guidata che ci porterà a scoprire all’interno dello storico e affascinante quartiere di Castello le meraviglie dei monumenti, delle strade, degli antichi palazzi.
Tra panorami, scorci, iscrizioni, fatti e leggende andremo nel cuore di questa suggestiva e antica area cittadina.
Il percorso partirà da Piazza Indipendenza, dove ci soffermeremo a parlare della sua storia e dei suoi importanti edifici. Si proseguirà alla volta della via Martini, con la chiesa di Santa Lucia, Piazza/Terrazza Mundula dalla quale ammireremo il panorama, Piazza Palazzo con il Palazzo Viceregio, la Cattedrale, l’antico Palazzo di Città. Attraverso delle scalette si arriverà poi in Via Canelles dove conosceremo la storia della via e le vicende legate ad un’importante fatto storico ricordato da una lapide e ancora attraverso la via San Giovanni si conoscerà molto altro.

A guided walk that will lead us to discover in the historic and charming neighborhood of Castle wonders of the monuments , streets , ancient buildings .
Between views, views , registrations, facts and legends will go to the heart of this picturesque and ancient town area .
The route will start from Independence Square, where we will stop talking about his history and its important buildings . It will continue to the street Martini, with the church of Saint Lucia , Plaza / Terrace Mundula from which we will admire the landscape, the Palace Square with the Viceregal Palace , the Cathedral , the old Town Hall . Through ladders will come later in Via Canelles where we know the history of the street and the events related to an important historical event commemorated by a plaque across the street and even St. John know more.
