Verrà inaugurata il 15 marzo, alle 18.00, nello Spazio San Pancrazio, a Cagliari, in Cittadella dei musei, la mostra L’isola delle torri. Giovanni Lilliu e la Sardegna nuragica, promossa dalla Direzione regionale per i beni culturali e paesaggistici della Sardegna e curata dalle due Soprintendenze per i beni archeologici.

A novembre 2014 la mostra attraverserà il mare e, fino a marzo 2015, sarà ospitata nelle sale del Museo Preistorico Nazionale Etnografico “Luigi Pigorini” di Roma, prima esposizione, totalmente dedicata alla civiltà nuragica, allestita anche fuori dalla Sardegna.

L’isola delle Torri, che si configura come uno degli eventi di maggior rilievo promossi dal Ministero dei beni e delle attività culturali e del turismo, Direzione generale per le antichità, vuole raccontare, con un linguaggio nuovo, la Sardegna nuragica, utilizzando anche la comunicazione sul web, attraverso un sito dedicato (http://www.isoladelletorri.beniculturali.it/), e sui social network. Il racconto dell’Isola viene scandito da elementi che caratterizzano il periodo nuragico: la pietra, il metallo, l’acqua. Saranno proprio questi elementi le guide che condurranno il visitatore lungo la via della conoscenza di una civiltà che ha impresso così marcatamente le sue tracce nel paesaggio sardo tanto da fondersi con esso in un unico suggestivo palinsesto diacronico.

L’iniziativa, inoltre, vuole essere un omaggio ad un altro simbolo della Sardegna, il “sardus pater” Giovanni Lilliu, che il 13 Marzo avrebbe festeggiato il suoi cento anni. L’accademico dei Lincei, con i suoi studi e le sue scoperte, è lo studioso che più di ogni altro ha consentito di approfondire le conoscenze su questa civiltà e, proprio partendo dai suoi lavori, la mostra presenterà anche le più importanti novità delle ricerche archeologiche in SardegnaWill be inaugurated on March 15 , at 18.00 , Space San Pancrazio , in Cagliari, in the Citadel of Museums , the exhibition The island of the towers.
