“MAURO SIGURA quartet : THE COLOUR IDENTITY “

Per la prima volta al Jambalaya, il musicista torinese Mauro Sigura (già suonatore di plettri etnici della storica band del panorama indipendente AGRICANTUS), con il suo Oud presenta ufficialmente il tour ed il progetto THE COLOUR IDENTITY che dal 4 Aprile partirà per una tournèe in Africa (Tunisia, Etiopia e Kenya). In questo progetto si fondono suoni, melodie, ritmi della tradizione ottomano-mediterranea e le atmosfere del jazz contemporaneo europeo, generando un suono unico e suggestivo, in grado di evocare, nell’ascoltatore, un viaggio oltre la dimensione temporale dalle sponde colorate del Senegal fino agli spazi sospesi del nord, mischiando suoni ed elementi di diverse culture, in un unico grande respiro.

In questo progetto, Mauro Sigura è accompagnato da un eccezionale trio, nel cui suono emergono chiare le influenze mediterranee e la ricerca nell’ambito del jazz europeo.

For the first time at the Jambalaya , the musician Mauro Torinese Sigura (former player of ethnic picks of the band ‘s independent scene AgriCantus ) , with his Oud officially presents the tour and the project COLOUR THE IDENTITY that from 4 April to start a tour in Africa (Tunisia, Ethiopia and Kenya) . In this project we are blended sounds , melodies, rhythms of traditional Ottoman -Mediterranean and the atmosphere of contemporary European jazz , creating a unique sound and impressive , able to evoke in the listener a journey beyond the temporal dimension from the shores of Senegal colored suspended until the spaces of the north , mixing sounds and elements of different cultures into one big breath.

In this project, Mauro Sigura is accompanied by an outstanding trio , the sound of which gave clear Mediterranean influences and research in the field of European jazz .
