ALLA SCOPERTA DEL COLLE SANT’ELIA – CAGLIARI – 8-9 FEBBRAIO 2014DISCOVERING SANT’ELIA – CAGLIARI – FEBRUARY 8 TO 9,2014

Una due giorni dedicata alla riscoperta del colle Sant’Elia a Cagliari, con la visita di aree ad oggi inaccessibili ai più, ed anche dei sotterranei leggendari, si svolgerà questo weekend: sabato 8 (di pomeriggio) e domenica 9 febbraio, di mattina, e consentirà ai più di accedere in gallerie e luoghi paradisiaci, nei colli Cagliaritani affaciati sul Golfo degli angeli.

SABATO 8 FEBBRAIO, dalle ore 15 con appuntamento in piazza Calamosca (fronte spiaggia omonima), si terrà il TOUR guidato alla scoperta dei sotterranei e delle grotte del colle Sant’Elia e di Sant’Ignazio.

Si terrà anche l’illustrazione dei camminamenti militari e dei passaggi segreti, risalenti alla seconda guerra mondiale, celati sotto aree verdi e panoramiche di rara bellezza.

Sarà questa la premessa ad hoc, per l’iniziativa TO BOMB CAGLIARI, ciclo di conferenze annuali che l’Associazione Sardegna Sotterranea dedica alla storia della Sardegna (e di Cagliari in particolare) al tempo della seconda guerra mondiale.

Verranno visitati, ancora sabato pomeriggio, percorsi sotterranei di grande fascino. Le guide ambientali e turistiche raccomandano: abbigliamento comodo e pratico (con scarpe da trekking) e una fonte di luce individuale, classica “pila luminosa”.

La DOMENICA SEGUENTE, il 9 febbraio, l’appuntamento previsto alle ore 9,45 nel parcheggio sterrato di Marina Piccola (grande area ricca di ulivi, sul lato destro rispetto all’accesso a Marina Piccola), consentirà a quanti si presenteranno, di entrare in un lato dei colli di Sant’Elia e Sant’Ignazio sconosciuto ai più,  circondato da reticolati militari e filo spinato ed ora, in parte, restituito alla città.

Verranno quindi illustrate oasi verdi, di grande fascino, e aree archeologiche poco note: ad esempio le cave dei blocchi di pietra calcarea, grandi crateri a cielo aperto, ed i vicini sentieri solcati da fenici, punici e romani.

Ancora: la storia della Grotta di San Bartolomeo che sul finire del 1800 restituì allo studioso Francesco Orsoni, reperti preistorici straordinari.

Nei sotterranei

Ne parleremo, visitando un luogo spettacolare, degno di nota.

NEXT SUNDAY , February 9 , the appointment scheduled at 9:45 in the dirt parking lot of Marina Piccola (large area full of olive trees on the right side with respect to access to Marina Piccola ) , will allow those who are present , to enter in one side of the hills of St. Elias and St. Ignatius unknown to most people, surrounded by barbed wire and barbed wire military and now, in part, returned to the city .
