UN CANTO LUNGO 50 ANNI

Il duo Salviucci-Marini nasce nel modo più semplice e naturale:
si è sempre cantato insieme,si è sempre suonato insieme, viene naturale farlo anche adesso, quando si può , perché è sempre un gran piacere e divertimento per entrambi.
Si tratta di un repertorio nato attraverso gli anni, oramai 52 per l’appunto.
Da quando cantavo e mi accompagnavo con la chitarra e spesso Francesco veniva in aiuto con la sua voce e la sua memoria dei testi negli anni settanta quando si suonava e cantava molto in giro, per Festival di tutti i tipi.
Erano canti venuti dalla ricerca in campagna , ma anche dall’apporto di amici preziosi più vecchi di noi che ci cantavano i canti della loro vita movimentata, dai canti della guerra di Spagna, molti dei quali inediti, ai nostri canti partigiani, ai vecchi canti di guerra, di lavoro, di occupazione delle terre, ai più recenti di occupazione delle case.
Alcuni di questi canti erano così belli che quasi non osavo cantarli per non rovinarli, come i canti di Matteo Salvatore, o il bellissimo e struggente” Un paese vuol dire” di Mario Pogliotti su testo di Cesare Pavese, cose preziose, imperdibili.
Oggi penso che invece di tenerli nel cassetto della memoria questi canti del cuore, preferisco lasciarli alla memoria degli altri, soprattutto giovani.
E noto con piacere che non solo in Italia , ma anche all’estero questi canti colpiscono il cuore degli ascoltatori, che ne chiedono la provenienza, i testi, un ricordo.
Così quando possiamo andiamo,in due, a proporre nel modo più semplice, così come
sono nati, questi canti che ci hanno formato, accompagnato e commosso per 50 anni e più.Francesco Marini Giovanna Marini and Salviucci in Concert

A LONG SONG 50 YEARS

The duo Salviucci – Marini was born in the most simple and natural :
has always sang together , it was always played together , it is natural to do so even now, when you can , because it’s always a great pleasure and enjoyment for both.
It is a repertory born through the years , now 52 to be precise.
From when I sang and I accompanied him on guitar and Francis often came to help with his voice and his memory of the texts in the seventies when he played and sang around a lot , for the Festival of all kinds .
They were singing came from research in the country, but also by the contribution of precious friends older than us who sang the songs of their busy life , from the songs of the Spanish Civil War , many of them unpublished , our partisan songs , old songs war , work, occupation of land , the most recent occupation of the houses.
Some of these songs were so beautiful that I hardly dared to sing will not scratch like the songs of Matteo Salvatore , or the beautiful and poignant ” A country means” Mario Pogliotti on a text by Cesare Pavese , precious things , not to be missed .
Today I think that instead of keeping them in the drawer of memory these songs of the heart , I prefer to let the memory of others, especially young people.
And I am pleased that not only in Italy but also abroad these songs hit the heart of the listeners , who called for the origin of the texts , a memory.
So when we can go in two , to propose in the simplest way , as well as
were born , these songs that we have formed , accompanied and moved for 50 years or more.
