Il trombettista Riccardo Pittau con il suo “Solo Project” sarà protagonista del live di domani, venerdì 24 gennaio al Kastè social Pub di Cagliari (via Universiità 37).
Si comincia alle 22.30, con un percorso basato su una sorta di viaggio, dove la tromba cavalca loops e elementi elettronici in continuo mutamento: questa è la premessa che genera l’incontro di suoni nel progetto solista di Riccardo Pittau,in cui si raccolgono le brillanti anime musicali delle sue macchine.

Poliedrico e versatile sono le parole che meglio caratterizzano questo trombettista che, nel suo stile influenzato dall’avant-jazz, unisce la tradizione jazzistica con i fraseggi balcanici e della musica tradizionale della Sardegna, sua terra d’origine alla quale è particolarmente legato.

Leader del quartetto/trio “Congregation”, con il quale ha pubblicato “V IV MMV Death Jazz (2007, Improvvisatore Involontario), e della band di rock sperimentale “HardWin”, che a breve uscirà con il suo primo disco, Pittau è membro della “Free Sardinia Orkestar” dove unisce la sua tromba ai migliori musicisti tradizionali isolani votati all’innovazione. Si dedica anche al teatro, con il riadattamento in lingua sarda de “L’Histoire du Soldat” di I. Stravinskij, di cui ha riarrangiato le musiche introducendo launeddas ed elettronica.

Tra le sue collaborazioni si contano Steve Lacy, i fratelli Lester e Joseph “Joe” Bowie, David Murray, Roswell Rudd, Misha Mengelberg, Evan Parker, Lawrence D. Butch” Morris, Alan Silva, Hamid Drake, Paolo Angeli, Elliot Sharp, Andy Moor, Phil Minton, Michael Riessler, Tristan Honsinger, Chris Cutler, come solista ospite con la Boban and Marko Markovic Orkestar, Roy Paci, Vinicio Capossela, Cesare Dell’Anna e con molti altri artisti e poeti come Marcello Fois, Alberto Masala, Jack Hirshmann.

It starts at 22.30 , with a path based on a kind of journey , where the trumpet rides loops and electronic elements in flux : this is the premise that the meeting generates sound in the solo project of Richard Pittau , in which you collect brilliant musical souls of his machines .

Multifaceted and versatile are the words that best characterize this trumpet player who , in his jazz – influenced style dall’avant , combining tradition with jazz phrasing and Balkan traditional music of Sardinia, his native land to which it is particularly fond of .

Leader of the quartet / trio ” Congregation ” , with whom he released ” V IV MMV Death Jazz (2007, Involuntary improviser ) , and experimental rock band ” HardWin ” , which will shortly come out with his first album , is a member Pittau the “Free Sardinia Orkestar ” where his trumpet combines the best traditional musicians islanders voted to innovation.
