La Stagione concertistica 2014 del Teatro Lirico di Cagliari che viene inaugurata venerdì 7 e sabato 8 febbraio prossimo, gode, quest’anno, di una, imperdibile, straordinaria anteprima, venerdì 24 gennaio alle 20.30 e sabato 25 gennaio alle 19: il concerto fuori abbonamento dell’Orchestra e del Coro del Teatro Lirico, diretti da Aldo Ceccato, artista milanese tra i migliori interpreti del grande repertorio sinfonico che ritorna a Cagliari dopo il successo dei concerti nell’ottobre 2012. Il maestro del coro è Marco Faelli.

Il programma musicale, di grande richiamo ed interamente dedicato alla musica russa, prevede, nella prima parte, l’esecuzione della Prima Sinfonia in Re maggiore “Classica” op. 25 di Sergej Prokof’ev (Sontsovka, governatorato di Ekaterinoslav, Ucraina, 1891 – Mosca, 1953) e la Sinfonia di salmi di Igor Stravinskij (Oranienbaum, oggi Lomonosov, 1882 – New York, 1971), mentre nella seconda parte della serata viene eseguita la Quarta Sinfonia in fa minore op. 36 di Petr Il’ic Čajkovskij (Kamsko-Votkinsk, governatorato di Vjatka, 1840 – San Pietroburgo, 1893).

Composta nel 1917, la Sinfonia “Classica” viene eseguita, per la prima volta, sotto la direzione dell’autore, a Leningrado il 21 aprile 1918, due settimane prima che Prokof’ev lasci la patria per trasferirsi in America. La Classica è opera rappresentativa e significativa di un musicista del Novecento che concilia, senza scontri drammatici, modernità e tradizione. La Sinfonia di salmi è la prima, grande opera di musica sacra di Stravinskij: una monumentale pagina per coro e orchestra su testi biblici, composta nel 1930, densa di misticismo ed evocazioni alla solenne maestosità delle icone bizantine. Čajkovskij compone la Quarta Sinfonia nel 1878, permeata da una passionalità romantica ed un profondo scavo psicologico fino al travolgente finale che l’autore presenta come estenuata ricerca della gioia umana.

La Stagione concertistica 2014 si avvale del contributo della Fondazione Banco di Sardegna.

La Biglietteria del Teatro Lirico è aperta dal lunedì al venerdì dalle 10 alle 13 e dalle 17 alle 20, il sabato dalle 10 alle 13. Rimane chiusa la domenica e i giorni festivi.

The musical program , a great attraction and entirely devoted to Russian music , provides, in the first part of the performance of the First Symphony in D major, ” Classical ” , Op. 25 by Sergei Prokofiev ( Sontsovka , governorate Ekaterinoslav , Ukraine, 1891 – Moscow, 1953) and the Symphony of Psalms by Igor Stravinsky ( Oranienbaum, today Lomonosov , 1882 – New York, 1971) , while in the second part of the evening is performed the Fourth Symphony in F minor , Op. 36 Petr Ilyich Tchaikovsky ( Kamsko – Votkinsk , Vyatka Governorate , 1840 – St. Petersburg, 1893) .

Composed in 1917 , the Symphony “Classic” is performed for the first time, under the direction of the author, in Leningrad, April 21, 1918 , two weeks before Prokofiev leave their homeland to move to America . The Classic is significant and representative work of a musician of the twentieth century that reconciles , no dramatic confrontations , modernity and tradition . The Symphony of Psalms is the first great work of sacred music by Stravinsky : a monumental page for chorus and orchestra of the biblical texts , composed in 1930 , full of mysticism and evocations in the solemn majesty of the Byzantine icons. Tchaikovsky composed the Fourth Symphony in 1878 , imbued with a romantic passion and a deep psychological excavation until the final overwhelming that the author presents as exhausted search of human joy .
