Dopo il successo della scorsa stagione, ritorna, nella settimana in cui ricorre il Giorno della Memoria, Storie di famiglia di Jean-Claude Grumberg, il drammaturgo francese di origine ebraica che nelle sue commedie si è sempre fatto un punto d’onore di far ridere a dispetto delle vicende tragiche che hanno attraversato la sua vita (suo padre, un sarto ebreo, morì in un campo di deportazione).

Grumberg non è conosciuto sulle scene italiane. Ho dunque scelto di accompagnare il pubblico in una passeggiata attraverso la sua opera, che è anche una passeggiata attraverso il tempo. Si parte da Michu, scritto nel 1966, si arriva a Sua madre, appena terminato (2012) e non ancora rappresentato in Francia, passando per Come va? e La mamma torna presto, povero orfanello. Ho intitolato questa passeggiata Storie di famiglia, e ho scelto di raccontarla in una forma che gli è straordinariamente peculiare: quella del testo breve, del flash folgorante. Ho organizzato questo spettacolo in sequenze corte, separate nettamente le une dalle altre, ma che, “riunite”, dovranno rendere l’umorismo incomparabile di colui che si è sempre fatto un punto d’onore di far ridere a dispetto delle vicende tragiche che hanno attraversato la sua vita (suo padre, un sarto ebreo, morì in un campo di deportazione).

Jean-Claude Grumberg nasce nel 1939, alcuni mesi prima dell’occupazione tedesca della Francia, in cui i suoi genitori erano approdati dalla Romania, fuggendo dall’antisemitismo e dai pogrom. Il padre fu deportato. Il bambino messo “al riparo” nella zona libera. I ragazzo è apprendista sarto. Poi apprendista attore. In seguito comincia a scrivere per il teatro. Da quell’“incubo della Storia”, Grumberg riuscirà a risalire diventando un autore comico, l’autore di un teatro popolato di “piccola gente”, colta nella sua verità a volte buffa, ritratta vuoi con affettuoso umorismo, vuoi con impietosa ferocia.

Ha ricevuto numerosi riconoscimenti tra cui il Grand Prix de l’Académie Française e il premio Molière. Per il cinema è sceneggiatore di numerosi film di François Truffaut (L’ultimo metrò) e di Costa Gavras (Amen, Cacciatore di teste, Verso l’Eden).

Grumberg is not known on the Italian scene . I have therefore chosen to accompany the audience on a walk through his work , which is also a walk through time. Jean -Claude Grumberg was born in 1939 , a few months before the German occupation of France, where his parents had arrived from Romania , fleeing from anti-Semitism and pogroms . The father was deported . The child put ” away ” in the free zone. The boy is an apprentice tailor. Then apprentice actor. Later he began to write for the theater. From that ‘ ” nightmare of history ” , Grumberg be able to go up becoming a comedy writer , author of a theater populated by ” little people ” caught in its truth sometimes funny , you want portrayed with affectionate humor, like with merciless ferocity.
