Teatro la maschera

In un paesino della Sardegna, una scalcinata compagnia teatrale di second’ordine, per fare il salto di qualità, decide di prendere una nuova sede in cui provare e stabilire il proprio domicilio legale.
La commedia inizia quando i membri della compagnia “AGORA’” si riuniscono per la prima volta nella nuova sede. Tra di loro nasce una serrata discussione su cosa fare per il nuovo anno.
Si pensa di cambiare genere: abbandonare le cose sarde, tipo Ziu Paddori, per affrontare autori moderni come Pinter. E mentre si cerca di capire cosa fare dell’autore inglese, rappresentante, secondo il loro pensiero, del massimo della modernità, arriva nella nuova sede, improvvisamente, un regista, non meglio identificato, che si spaccia per un grande professionista con esperienze nazionali e internazionali.
Per gli attori della nostra compagnia è un occasione unica: chiedono al grande regista la sua collaborazione. Iniziano, così, un nuovo percorso artistico basato sulla sperimentazione e sulla improvvisazione. Sarà l’occasione tanto attesa per mettersi alla prova, dando vita a situazioni che vanno dal grottesco al comico puro in una girandola di personaggi e travestimenti.
Nel bel mezzo delle improvvisazioni, arriva la Polizia ad arrestare il falso regista: era un truffatore di professione che si era già spacciato per avvocato, commercialista e ginecologo ed era ricercato da anni.
Orfani del regista, gli attori della compagnia AGORA’ decidono, in uno slancio di entusiasmo, di continuare attraverso gli insegnamenti del maestro truffatore e decidono di scrivere loro stessi il testo, coscienti del fatto che un copione come quello che loro potranno ideare, Pinter non l’avrebbe mai scritto.Theater mask
