Dal 1915 nella Gamla Stan, la città vecchia di Stoccolma che si trova sull’isola di Stadsholmen, si trova sicuramente il mercatino più affascinante ed old fashion della città. Le bancarelle sono disposte nella storica Stortorget, una piazza in ciottolato circondata da palazzi settecenteschi tutti colorati, e offrono ceramiche, pelletteria, artigianato lappone, maglieria, spazzole, candele e ferri battuti. Da assaggiare le speciali salsicce affumicate, le mandorle arrostite, il pepparkakor (panpepato) e le lussebullar (paste allo zafferano con uva sultanina). Inoltre ci sono speciali caramelle, marzapane e glogg (vino speziato caldo più forte del vin brulè). Per preparare lo Julbord, buffet di Natale alla svedese, è possibile comprare Rokt Renstek (arrosto di renna affumicato), prosciutto speziato al forno, farfiol (coscia di agnello), lax, salmone affumicato, al (anguilla), spezie, senape e marmellata di more selvatiche e miele.

Nel parco di Skansen, dal 1903, è allestito il più grande mercato natalizio della Svezia. Nelle 150 casette si possono acquistare decorazioni natalizie, ricami, oggetti di pelletteria, spezie ed essenzie, prodotti di artigianato leppone, vetri soffiati, giocattoli fatti a mano.
L’offerta gastronomica è ricca e varia: marmellate e gelatine, tacchino affumicato, senape fatta in casa, marzapane, fette biscottate, cioccolato finissimo e pane croccante appena sfornato.

Nel parco più centrale di Stoccolma, il Kungstradgarden (il giardino dei re), si trova il mercatino punto d’incontro dei cittadini svedesi. Candele, decorazioni natalizie, dolciumi, muffin, carne di renna e articoli d’artigianato sono i prodotti offerti.

Nei giardini reali di Rosendal sull’isola di Djurgarden c’è un mercatino assolutamente da visitare in quanto molto esclusivo, dove si possono trovare oggetti d’artigianato d’alta qualità, pane appena sfornato e prodotti biologici. In una serra si possono gustare piatti ecologici e un ottimo glogg.

Musica e Spettacoli

Sui palchi del parco Kungstradgarden si esibiscono gruppi musicali in vari momenti della giornata. Stupendi i concerti di musiche natalizie in St. Jakobs al Kungstradgarden e nella cattedrale Storkyrkan.
Sport e divertimento

Nel parco Kungstradgarden si trova una bellissima pista di pattinaggio aperta fino a tarda sera e con possibilità di noleggio pattini.
Curiosità

Il parco di Skansen è il più grande museo all’aperto del mondo. Dalla fine dell’Ottocento mostra le condizioni di vita delgi svedesi dei secoli passati.
In 4 case d’epoca di Skansen è mostrato il pranzo di Natale dei tempi passati di altrettante famiglie svedesi, con differenti possibilità economiche. Nella notte più lunga dell’anno, il 13 dicembre, per festeggiare il ritorno della luce, c’è la particolare sfilata di Santa Lucia, icona dell’inverno in Svezia.

The stalls are located in the historic Stortorget, a cobbled square surrounded by eighteenth-century palaces all colorful, and offer pottery, leather goods, handicrafts Lapp, knitwear, brushes, candles and wrought iron. To taste the special smoked sausage, roasted almonds, the pepparkakor (Gingerbread) and lussebullar (pasta with saffron and raisins). In addition, there are special candies, marzipan and glogg (hot spiced wine stronger than mulled wine). To prepare julbord, the Swedish Christmas buffet, you can buy Rokt Renstek (smoked reindeer roast), spicy ham in the oven, farfiol (leg of lamb), lax, smoked salmon, to (eel), spices, mustard and jam of wild blackberries and honey.

In the park Skansen, since 1903, hosts the largest Christmas market in Sweden. In 150 houses you can buy Christmas decorations, embroidery, leather goods, spices and essences, handicrafts leppone, blown glass, handmade toys.
The cuisine is rich and varied: jams and jellies, smoked turkey, mustard, homemade gingerbread, biscuits, fine chocolate and freshly baked crusty bread.

The park’s most central Stockholm, the Kungstradgarden (the garden of the king), is the market meeting of the Swedish people. Candles, Christmas decorations, sweets, muffins, reindeer and craft items are the products offered.

Rosendal in the royal gardens of the island of Djurgarden is a market place to be as it is very exclusive, where you can find handicrafts of high quality, freshly baked bread and organic products. In a greenhouse you can enjoy organic food and a great glogg.

On the stages of the park Kungstradgarden performing musical groups at various times of the day. Beautiful concerts of Christmas music in the St. Jakobs Kungstradgarden and cathedral Storkyrkan.

Kungstradgarden in the park is a beautiful ice rink is open until late evening and with the possibility to rent the skates.

The park Skansen open-air museum is the largest in the world. Since the end of the nineteenth century shows the living conditions of Swedish username of past centuries.
