mercoledì 30 Ottobre ospiterò nella mia casetta dei concerti Francesco Frau, in arte Herbert Stencil, cantautore sassarese.
Ho conosciuto Francesco circa due anni fa durante le bellissime serate ” Acoustic Open Mic” allo Zalu’s Club e devo dire che il suo stile eclettico ha catturato subito la mia attenzione.
Oggi, che organizzo concerti a casa mia, sono proprio contenta di ospitarlo e di presentarlo al pubblico degli house concerts. Tra l’altro sta per incidere il suo primo disco per la realizzazione del quale aprirà una campagna di crowdfunding che mi vedrà nelle vesti di sua talent scout!

Herbert Stencil (pseudonimo di Francesco Frau, Sassari 17 Maggio 1977) è un cantautore ed intrattenitore italiano.
Il suo pseudonimo è un omaggio alla più geniale delle creazioni di Thomas Pynchon.
Durante la sua vita, Herbert ha fatto il lavapiatti, lo gigolo ad ore, il commesso in libreria ed ha ricoperto il ruolo di Ejlert Lovborg nel dramma “Hedda Gabler”.
Attualmente lavora come ingegnere.
E’ diventato un cantautore quasi vent’anni fa. La sua prima canzone si intitolava “Amo solo te” e parlava della sua vana concupiscenza per una ragazzina delle scuole superiori, mentre l’ultima in ordine cronologico, “Glorioso mondo”, parla dell’inutilità dei pensieri e delle azioni dell’essere umano, mammifero incastrato all’interno del logorante e decadente pianeta Terra.
Stencil si definisce cantautore psyco-beat e chi volesse ammirarne le imprese può trovarlo nei più sordidi e fumosi circoli privati metropolitani, oppure nei nightclub di periferia.
La sua proverbiale pigrizia non ha impedito al suo manager di costringerlo ad incidere almeno un EP, intitolato “Herbert Stencil e i debosciati”, grazie al quale la sua fama si è estesa a gran parte dell’Europa latino-mediterranea.Dear friends,

I met Francis about two years ago during a wonderful evening “Acoustic Open Mic ” at Zalu ‘s Club and I have to say that his eclectic style has captured my attention immediately .

During his life , Herbert did the dishwasher, the gigolo for one hour, the clerk in the library and has served as Ejlert Lovborg in the drama ” Hedda Gabler .”
He currently works as an engineer.
E ‘ became a songwriter almost twenty years ago. His first song was titled “I love only you” and spoke of his vain lust for a girl high school , and the last in chronological order, ” Glorious world,” speaks of the futility of the thoughts and actions of human beings mammal stuck inside the exhausting and decadent planet Earth.
