Al via la seconda tranche della campagna abbonamenti per La Grande Prosa al Teatro Massimo di Cagliari/ stagione 2013-14 del CeDAC: a partire da lunedì 21 ottobre alle 15.00 sarà possibile acquistare i nuovi abbonamenti presso  il Botteghino del Teatro Massimo di Cagliari/ ingresso in via De Magistris 12 (aperto dal lunedì al venerdì dalle 15.00 alle 19.30).

Luca Zingaretti   Nove gli spettacoli in cartellone – da mercoledì 20 novembre 2013 fino al 6 aprile 2014 – tra la prima regionale di “Quando la moglie è in vacanza” con Massimo Ghini e Elena Santarelli e intriganti intrecci fra teatro e cinema, e riletture di classici, con protagonisti del calibro di Paolo Poli con i suoi poetici e irriverenti “Aquiloni” ispirati ai versi di Giovanni Pascoli; Giuseppe Pambieri protagonista de “La coscienza di Zeno” per la regia di Scaparro e il ritorno nell’Isola di Glauco Mauri che firma  adattamento e regia di “Una pura formalità”, dal film di Tornatore. E ancora Luca Zingaretti e Massimo de Francovich, irriducibili avversari ne “La torre d’avorio” di Harwood e Elio De Capitani regista (insieme a Ferdinando Bruni) e interprete di “The History Boys” di Bennett, mentre Pierfrancesco Favino vestirà i panni del “Servo per due”, ovvero “One Man, Two Guvnors” di Richard Bean (che si rifà a Goldoni) in una giostra di equivoci e situazioni comiche. Spazio anche a giovani e interessanti talenti della scena come Arturo Cirillo e Roberto Valerio alle prese rispettivamente con i capolavori di Molière e di Goldoni, per uno spaccato di “comédie humaine” tra vizi e (rare) virtù.

Tra le novità de “La Grande Prosa al Teatro Massimo” di Cagliari  – stagione 2013-14 l’orario delle recite serali, anticipato alle 20.30, mentre resta immutato l’orario delle 19 per le recite domenicali nel turno E, e quello delle pomeridiane alle 17.
Resta invariato rispetto ai prezzi della scorsa stagione (da settembre 2012) il costo degli abbonamenti, e così la sequenza dei turni. Con una piccola novità: la riduzione per i primi due turni, A e B (mercoledì e giovedì), uno sconto speciale che tiene conto del tempo di crisi, per conciliare la qualità degli spettacoli con le necessità del quotidiano, uno speciale invito a teatro pensato per nuovi e “storici” abbonati del CeDAC.

Il sipario si aprirà mercoledì 20 novembreper il debutto in prima nazionale di Quando la moglie è in vacanzacon la regia di Alessandro D’Alatri: la fortunata pièce di George Axelrod, resa celebre dal film di Billy Wilder con Marilyn Monroe, racconta desideri inconfessabili e pericolose tentazioni per l’uomo medio davanti all’esplosiva bellezza della nuova vicina – in contrasto con l’ipocrisia e il perbenismo della società. Protagonisti sulla scena Massimo Ghini (per la prima volta sui palcoscenici della prosa nell’Isola) e Elena Santarelli, novella Marilyn nel ruolo dell’avvenente e sensuale inquilina del piano di sopra, sullo sfondo di una torrida estate.

Sarà poi la volta – dal 4 all’8 dicembre – de The History Boysdi Alan Bennett nella mise en scène di Teatridithalia, con la regia di Ferdinando Bruni e Elio De Capitani (che ha conquistato ben tre Premi Ubu nel 2011, tra cui quello come Miglior Spettacolo dell’anno e il Premio Le Maschere del Teatro Italiano 2012 per la regia). La graffiante e ironica commedia (già vincitrice di sei Tony Awards, diventata anche un film cult) tocca il tema cruciale dell’educazione e dell’importanza della conoscenza, e il passaggio dall’età difficile e crudele dell’adolescenza al mondo degli adulti.

“La grande Prosa al Teatro Massimo” si tinge d’ironia e poesia – dall’ 8 al 12 gennaio 2014 – con Aquiloni, un’originale e divertente “allegoria del comporre poetico” che riscopre, con la cifra irriverente e la verve di un artista come Paolo Poli, l’universo letterario di Giovanni Pascoli. Tra le scenografie fantastiche di Emanuele Luzzati prendono forma e voce le poesie che hanno nutrito l’immaginario di generazioni di italiani tra i banchi di scuola e non solo, e da Myricae e dai Poemetti affiora la visione di una società arcaica e contadina e il pacificante dialogo tra uomo e natura.

Riflettori puntati – dal 22 al 26 gennaio – su Servo per due/ One Man Two Guvnors di Richard Beancon Pierfrancesco Favino (che firma anche la regia a quattro mani con Paolo Sassanelli ) e gli attori del Gruppo Danny Rose. La pièce, rilettura in chiave contemporanea de Il servitore di due padronidi Carlo Goldoni, narra dell’arte di arrangiarsi: Pippo, un moderno Arlecchino nella Rimini degli Anni Trenta, per sbarcare il lunario entra contemporaneamente al servizio di due padroni, Rocco e Lodovico, in una vorticosa giostra di equivoci, fraintendimenti e scambi di persona, situazioni grottesche e scatenata comicità.

Ritorna nell’Isola – sotto le insegne del CeDAC – Glauco Mauri, regista e protagonista insieme a Roberto Sturno di Una pura formalità, in cartellone dal 5 al 9 febbraio 2014: la trama è incentrata su un misterioso omicidio, ma l’indagine sul delitto si trasforma in un viaggio dentro se stessi, alla ricerca di un passato dimenticato. Un noir contemporaneo, trasposizione teatrale dell’omonimo film di Giuseppe Tornatore con Depardieu e Polanski, per una cronaca dell’inquietudine: un celebre scrittore, Onoff, il primo indiziato, per discolparsi è costretto a districare i fili della propria esistenza.

Focus sul dilemma tra arte e politica ne La torre d’avoriodi Ronald Harwood – al Teatro Massimo di Cagliari dal 26 febbraio al 2 marzo 2014: la pièce diretta e interpretata da Luca Zingaretti, in scena con Massimo de Francovich e con Paolo Briguglia, s’ispira alla figura di Wilhelm Furtwängler, il grande direttore d’orchestra tedesco che, a differenza di molti suoi colleghi, preferì restare in Germania durante il Terzo Reich. Pur non avendo mai aderito al nazismo, dopo la guerra il musicista fu sottoposto ad un’inchiesta da parte dei vincitori sui suoi presunti legami con il regime: Harwood ricostruisce l’interrogatorio ed il serrato confronto tra l’inquisitore, il maggiore Arnold, refrattario al fascino della cultura e l’artista che aveva voluto tenere accesa la grande tradizione della musica tedesca anche negli anni più bui della sua storia.

Un capolavoro del Seicento, L’Avarodi Molière – in scena dal 5 al 9 marzo – nella versione di uno dei più interessanti giovani registi italiani, il partenopeo Arturo Cirillo, ripropone l’eterno tema dell’avidità e dell’attaccamento al denaro, esasperato fino alla patologia. La meravigliosa commedia dell’autore francese, ispirata all’Aululariadi Plauto, descrive debolezze e manie del protagonista, che vive nell’eterno timore di esser derubato e pianifica il futuro dei figli in funzione della (propria) ricchezza. L’esistenza di Arpagone ruota intorno al denaro e intorno a lui familiari e servitori si muovono come schegge impazzite di un corale delirio, finché amore e saggezza, con l’aiuto del caso, riporteranno l’ordine e restituiranno a ciascuno la libertà di esser se stesso.

Nel cartellone de “La grande Prosa al Teatro Massimo”spicca anche La coscienza di Zenodi Tullio Kezich, dal romanzo di Italo Svevo – 19-23 marzo 2014 – nell’allestimento del Teatro Carcano di Milano per la regia di Maurizio Scaparro, con Giuseppe Pambieri nel ruolo del protagonista, il ricco commerciante triestino Zeno Cosini, che ripercorre in un flashback la propria storia, tra velleità e desideri, rinunce e piccoli tradimenti, l’inguaribile “vizio” del fumo e la coscienza del male di vivere. Un classico della letteratura del Novecento approda sulla scena nella felice trasposizione d’autore, già interpretata da Lionello e Bosetti, dove la consapevolezza dell’uomo contemporaneo si stempera in una fine e pregnante (auto)ironia.

Suggellerà la stagione 2013-14 del CeDAC al Teatro Massimo di Cagliari – dal 2 al 6 aprile – L’Impresario delle Smirnedi Carlo Goldoni, nell’adattamento dell’attore e regista Roberto Valerio, che trasporta la vicenda, con il suo colorito affresco del mondo dello spettacolo tra piccole rivalità, gelosie e ambizioni, in un’atmosfera Anni Cinquanta, tra riferimenti al cinema di Fellini e Monicelli e all’avanspettacolo. Per una riflessione corale e coinvolgente sull’attualità e lo stato dell’arte e il ruolo del teatro nella società: il commediografo veneziano ben conosceva la realtà dietro le quinte, non molto diversa quella di ieri rispetto a quella d’oggi, tra l’ansia di successo (contrapposta alla fame), la mercificazione del corpo, gli inganni di mediatori e impresari e il potere e la seduzione del denaro.

Finale nel segno del metateatro quindi – in un classico e autobiografico gioco di teatro nel teatro – per “La grande Prosa al Teatro Massimo” di Cagliari firmata CeDAC, con protagonisti del calibro di Glauco Mauri e Giuseppe Pambieri, Paolo Poli, Luca Zingaretti e Massimo De Francovich, Elio De Capitani, Pierfrancesco Favino, Massimo Ghini in coppia con Elena Santarelli, e alcuni giovani e già affermati attori-registi come Arturo Cirillo e Roberto Valerio.

Indubitabile fil rouge l’osmosi fra cinema e teatro, da Quando la moglie è in vacanzaa The History Boys(che ha ispirato il film cult di Nicholas Hytner) e La torre d’avorio(titolo originale Taking Sides) di Harwood (già Premio Oscar per la sceneggiatura de Il pianista) trasportato sul grande schermo da Istvan Szabò, con Stellan Skarsgard ed Harvey Keitel nel ruolo dei protagonisti nel film A torto o a ragione. Ispirazione dichiaratamente cinematografica anche per Una pura formalità, dal film di Tornatore.

Sul palcoscenico del Teatro Massimo di Cagliari anche i grandi classici della storia del teatro, da L’Avarodi Molière reinterpretato da Arturo Cirillo a L’Impresario delle Smirnedi Carlo Goldoni secondo Roberto Valerio, fino allo scoppiettante Servo per due/ One Man, Two Guvnors, moderna rivisitazione di un capolavoro goldoniano, portata in scena da Pierfrancesco Favino.

E poi la letteratura che si fa teatro e approda sulla scena, con le poesie di Pascoli reinterpretate dal grande Paolo Poli e naturalmente il romanzo di Svevo, che trasporta l’Italia in una temperie pienamente novecentesca e finalmente europea.
