La Bottega del Mondo di Sucania insieme alla società Umanitaria vi invita alla visione del Film documentario Shady Chocolate di Miki Mistrati, giovedì 17 ottobre presso la Cinetera Sarda, viale Trieste 118 a Cagliari ore 20,30. Ingresso Libero.

Vedere è forse lo strumento più adatto a capire cosa succede nelle piantagioni di cacao della Costa d’Avorio. Il prossimo 17 ottobre alla Cineteca Sarda sarà data la possibilità di avere una visione allargata del mercato del cacao. Sarà infatti proiettato il secondo lavoro di Miki Mistrati, il film documentario Shady Chocolate, seguito della ormai nota inchiesta che ha raccontato a tutto il mondo lo sfruttamento del lavoro infantile che si nasconde dietro la produzione del cacao in Costa d’Avorio, quel “The Dark Side Of Chocolate” che aveva costretto le grandi multinazionali del cacao a scusarsi e a prendere impegni precisi contro il traffico dei bambini in Africa.

Oggi abbiamo il secondo capitolo, “Shady Chocolate”, sorta di verifica a posteriori del regista sulle promesse fatte dalla grande industria del cacao ai consumatori in materia di rispetto di diritti umani e delle leggi sulla tutela dei minori.

Dopo la visione del film seguirà una condivisione di riflessioni sull’argomento e un assaggio di cioccolato equo e solidale.

Seeing is perhaps the best tool to understand what happens in cocoa plantations in Côte d’ Ivoire. On 17 October at the Cinematheque Sarda will be given the opportunity to have a broader vision of the cocoa market . It will be screened according to the work of Miki Mistrati , the documentary film Shady Chocolate , following the well-known investigation that told the world the exploitation of child labor that lies behind the production of cocoa in Côte d’ Ivoire, that “The Dark Side of Chocolate ” that had forced the large multinational cocoa to apologize and make a specific commitment against child trafficking in Africa.

Today we have the second chapter , ” Shady Chocolate” , a sort of ex-post verification of the director on the promises made ​​by the industry’s largest cocoa consumers with regard to respect for human rights and the laws on the protection of minors.
