5° EDIZIONE DEL PALIO DELLE BOTTI – MONTI – 5-6 OTTOBRE 20135th EDITION PALIO OF BARRELS -MONTI – OCTOBER 5 TO 6

Si rinnova questo weekend l’appuntamento con la 5° edizione del Palio delle Botti a Monti, manifestazione che chiude anche il lungo cartellone estivo.

Si comincia sabato, alle 18 nel centro sociale: in un convegno sarà rievocata la figura politica di Battista Isoni. Si parlerà anche dell’uva vermentino, del suo sviluppo e della ricaduta economica nel territorio, Monti e tutta la Gallura.

Si prosegue domenica con la manifestazione «C’era una volta…la vendemmia. Alla scoperta delle antiche tradizioni», giunta alla 17ª edizione, abbinata al tradizionale «Palio della botte», giunto invece alla quinta edizione.

Per quanto riguarda l’antica vendemmia si svolgerà in due fasi: domenica mattina le squadre che partecipano si recheranno nei vigneti per la raccolta dell’uva. Nel pomeriggio in piazza Regina Margherita avverrà la pigiatura entro grossi tini a piedi scalzi.

Vincerà il trofeo la squadra della città, composta da un massimo di tre elementi, che pigiando due quintali di uva alla volta, otterrà più mosto in cinque minuti. Non meno avvincente sarà il «Palio della botte», preceduto dalla sfilata delle majorettes «Primi passi» di Berchidda.

Alla sfida parteciperanno le squadre di Oristano, Monserrato, Soleminis, Tortolì, Golfo Aranci, Sant’Antonio di Gallura e Monti.It renews the appointment this weekend with the 5th edition of the Palio delle Botti in Monti , an event that also closes the long summer program .

As for the ancient harvest will take place in two phases: Sunday morning the teams participating will visit the vineyards for the harvest of the grapes . In the afternoon in Piazza Regina Margherita will be crushed by large vats barefoot.

Win the trophy the team of the city , consisting of a maximum of three elements, which by pressing two tons of grapes at a time, will get more juice in five minutes. No less exciting will be the ” Palio of the barrel ” , preceded by a parade of majorettes ‘ First Steps ‘ Berchidda .

Teams will participate in the challenge of Oristano , Montserrat, Soleminis , Tortoli , Golfo Aranci , Sant’Antonio di Gallura and Monti.
