Anche quest’anno si rinnovano i festeggiamenti in onore a Sant’Elena Imperatrice a Quartu S.Elena.

Giovedì 12 settembre, alle ore 18.30, all’Oratorio Sant’Elena- Circolo Ferrini, l’inaugurazione della festa con il saluto del parroco e del sindaco, Mauro Contini e l’apertura della mostra “antichi mestieri, dell’uva, del dolce e del pane quartese”, l’intrattenimento musicale con i Cotton Fields (alle ore 20) e l’ottava edizione della degustazione del piatto tipico campidanese: malloreddus, sartizzu, casu e binu.
Venerdì 13 settembre, alle 17.30, la Messa Solenne e alle ore 18, la processione per le vie della città. Alle ore 21.30, in Piazza Sant’Elena, la consueta gara poetica.
Sabato 14, le mese alle ore 06, 07, 08, 09, 10 e alle 19. Alle ore 17, la manifestazione “Arrivo prima io”, organizzata dalla Sa.Spo Cagliari e dall’Unitalsi. Sul sagrato della Piazza verranno montati due canestri per una sfida tra i campioni di basket in carrozzina e i normodotati che potranno così capire come si gioca a pallacanestro in carrozzina. Alle 22, il concerto di Laura Bono, vincitrice di Sanremo Giovani nel 2005 e da qualche anno in giro per l’Europa.
Domenica 15, giornata dedicata alla Festa dell’Uva. Dalle ore 10.30, le etnotraccas, i carri e i calessi partiranno da Via San Benedetto per arrivare in piazza. Previsto l’arrivo di ventidue gruppi folk dalla Provincia di Cagliari che alle 21.30, si esibiranno sul palco in Piazza. Alle ore 8, i gazebo di Campagna Amica in Piazza Sant’Elena; alle 17.30, le esibizioni di arti marziali; alle 19.30, al Parco Matteotti, “Così vestivano a Quartu”, curata dal gruppo folk “Su Idanu”.
Lunedì 16, badminton della Polisportiva “Le Aquile” alle ore 17.30; alle 18, nella Sala Convegni dell’Ex Convento dei Cappuccini, il dibattito sulla filiera ortofrutticola organizzato dalla Coldiretti Cagliari. Alle ore 21, la commedia dialettale “Apu nau ca no ti pagu”, mesa in scena dalla associazione amatoriale Sacro Cuore di Quartu. Martedì 17, alle ore 17, la gara ciclistica organizzata dalla Asd Lex Bike Sardinia.

Tanti gli spazi riservati ai bambini. Giovedì 12, alle ore 18, in Piazza Aranci, fronte Comune, l’animazione organizzata dall’associazione “Festalandia e Festeland” con giochi gonfiabili e le mascotte della Disney. I bimbi chiuderanno la serata di martedì con un concorso a premi di canto, ballo e recitazione.
