10° FESTIVAL LETTERARIO DELLA SARDEGNA – GAVOI – 4-7 LUGLIO 201310th LITERARY FESTIVAL SARDINIA – GAVOI – JULY 4th TO 7th

Sono trascorsi dieci anni e il Festival della Sardegna continua ogni estate a raccontare storie con la stessa attenzione e passione di sempre, fedele e presente al proprio modo di essere e di intendere i libri e i racconti, che sono l’anima e il corpo del pensiero che l’ha generato.

Il Festival Letterario della Sardegna che si tiene a Gavoi (NU) dal 4 al 7 luglio 2013 – organizzato dall’Associazione Culturale l’Isola delle Storie, con il Patrocinio della Presidente del Consiglio Regionale della Sardegna, con il sostegno di Regione Autonoma della Sardegna, Comune di Gavoi, Camera di Commercio, Industria, Agricoltura e Artigianato di Nuoro, Fondazione Banco di Sardegna, Banca di Sassari, Provincia di Nuoro, Enel, GAL BMGS, Bim Bacino Imbrifero Montano del Taloro, Comune di Lodine, con la collaborazione e il contributo di EUNIC, Goethe-Institut, Istituto Romeno di Cultura e Ricerca Umanistica di Venezia, Forum Austriaco di Cultura di Roma, British Council, Istituto di Cultura Polacco di Roma e il MAN – Museo d’Arte della Provincia di Nuoro – è reso possibile anche e soprattutto dal lavoro volontario di tutti cittadini che con grande disponibilità e gentilezza accolgono un pubblico sempre più numeroso.

La X edizione si apre giovedì 4 luglio 2013 alle ore 22.00 con lo spettacolo musicale “L’Isola delle Storie, concerto per l’Europa a Gavoi” – sostenuto dalla Banca di Sassari, co-finanziato dagli Istituti di Cultura Europei: Goethe-Institut, Forum Austriaco di Cultura di Roma, Istituto Romeno di Cultura e Ricerca Umanistica di Venezia, Istituto di Cultura Polacco di Roma e dall’Associazione l’Isola delle Storie e realizzato nell’ambito delle linee di intervento dell’EUNIC – European Union National Institutes for Culture – che rappresenta una novità assoluta per il Festival. I sei musicisti – Christopher Dell, vibrafono e coordinatore del gruppo (Germania), Gavino Murgia, sassofono (Italia), Lelio Giannetto, basso (Italia), Wolfgang Reisinger, batteria (Austria), Nicolas Simion, clarinetto (Romania), Maciej Fortuna, tromba (Polonia) – attesi a Gavoi qualche giorno prima dell’inizio del Festival, sono chiamati ad eseguire una composizione musicale originale realizzata durante il loro periodo di permanenza sull’isola e ispirata all’esperienza e alle suggestioni che il luogo ha suscitato loro.

A partire dal giorno successivo – venerdì 5 luglio – hanno inizio gli incontri che si articolano in differenti momenti distribuiti tra mattino, pomeriggio e sera. Si comincia alle ore 10.30 con l’appuntamento d’apertura Dal Balcone presentato quest’anno dalla giornalista Zita Dazzi che incontra gli scrittori Andrea Canobbio venerdì 5, Maurizio De Giovanni sabato 6 e Marco Malvadi domenica 7.

Nell’appuntamento di metà mattina – alle ore 12.00 a Sant’Antiocru – dall’evocativo titolo Mezzogiorno di fuoco e moderato dal conduttore, giornalista e scrittore Federico Taddia, si confrontano sul palco rispettivamente, venerdì 5, gli scrittori Giorgio Todde e Andrea Ballarini in un Elogio alla cialtroneria, sabato 6 la Direttrice del Goethe-Institut Susanne Höhn e la responsabile per la sezione Arts del British Council in Italia Alison Driver  che offrono, nell’incontro L’Italia vista dalla luna – chiaro rimando al film di Pasolini – il loro punto di vista “esterno” sul Belpaese, domenica 7, i giornalisti Gianluigi Nuzzi e Loredana Lipperini che nell’incontro Segreti e bugie affrontano il tema delle verità nascoste, non solo intese come giornalismo d’inchiesta ma anche riferite alle storie di donne spesso raccontate dalla Lipperini stessa.

I primi ospiti della fascia pomeridiana – che si apre come di consueto alle ore 16.00 con lo spazio dedicato ai Reading – sono il noto ed irriverente vignettista Vauro, ospite nella giornata di venerdì 5, l’attore Fabrizio Gifuni con Il Pasticciaccio sabato 6 e, domenica 7, lo scrittore Lorenzo Amurri che presenta il suo Apnea accompagnato dalla voce di Daniele Monachella.

La forte collaborazione con gli Istituti di Cultura Europei inaugurata in questi anni – arricchita in questa edizione dalla presenza del British Council e ulteriormente consolidata dal progetto del concerto inaugurale – continua anche negli spazi degli incontri con gli autori delle 17.15. Nella giornata di venerdì 5 luglio è, infatti, ospite sul palco insieme alla giovane scrittrice Marta Pastorino, lo scrittore inglese Alex Wheatle, sabato 6 sono protagonisti gli scrittori Annamaria Falchi e Marco Porru, mentre domenica 7 è in programma un appuntamento dal respiro internazionale con la poetessa e scrittrice rumena Ruxandra Cesereanu e il poeta austriaco Karl Lubomirski. Grazie, invece, alla collaborazione con Liberos – rete nata nel 2012 quale luogo di confronto e occasione di scambio e sostegno tra autori, editori e librai sardi – sul palco a fare gli onori di casa è la scrittrice Chiara Valerio.

Alle ore 19.30, invece, in uno degli spazi più amati dal pubblico, sono attesi la nota scrittrice Paola Mastrocola venerdì 5 e lo scrittore cileno, Antonio Skármeta sabato 6, entrambi introdotti dalla giornalista e conduttrice Loredana Lipperini, mentre, domenica 7, è il momento di Simonetta Agnello-Hornby, scrittrice conosciuta al grande pubblico e molto apprezzata in tutto il mondo.

I notturni del Festival delle 22.30 vedono, infine, sul palco il giornalista e scrittore Saverio Simonelli  insieme al tedesco Robert Hültner, drammaturgo, regista e scrittore venerdì, 5 – incontro realizzato  in collaborazione con il Goethe-Institut – mentre, sabato 6, sono protagonisti dell’appuntamento di chiusura di questa decima edizione Massimo Gramellini, giornalista e scrittore, insieme all’attrice Elisa Galletta.

Sabato 6 luglio torna l’oramai irrinunciabile appuntamento con il Dopofestival delle 24.00, momento giocoso e ironico con gli ospiti del Festival e con brindisi finale a base di mirto.

Come da tradizione ogni incontro è preceduto da un omaggio che il Festival rende a personaggi importanti del mondo della cultura, con letture quest’anno di Italo Calvino, di Franco Solinas e dei Fratelli Grimm. Di questi ultimi, in particolare, vengono lette alcune fiabe scelte e riscritte da importanti firme del panorama letterario italiano e tedesco nell’ambito del progetto Grimmland promosso dal Goethe-Institut.

Questa X edizione presenta, inoltre, importanti novità. L’incontro di sabato mattina alle ore 9.00 a Lodine, ospitato nella panoramica piazza di questo piccolo centro a pochi kilometri da Gavoi e dedicato al lavoro e alla sofferenza del tempo senza lavoro, con Massimo Cirri – autore di un libro, recentemente uscito, dedicato a questo tema – e Tiziana Crostelli e Paola Fontana, lavoratrice Agila – ex Eutelia, moderato da Corrado Mandreoli, responsabile delle politiche sociali presso la Camera del lavoro di Milano. I due appuntamenti nello spazio della Scuola Elementare, adatti ad un pubblico di tutte le età: alle 12.00 Leggevo che ero – ispirato alla mostra promossa dalla rivista Andersen allestita durante i giorni del Festival – con Massimo Cirri, venerdì 5, e Lorenzo Amurri, sabato 6, chiamati a leggere il loro libro preferito dell’infanzia, e, alle 18.00, l’incontro con gli autori moderato da Francesca Casula che introduce Zita Dazzi, venerdì 5 per l’incontro Teo e gli altri. Raccontare le emozioni tra verità e finzione, e Saverio Simonelli, sabato 6, nell’incontro dal titolo Le orme delle Fiabe. Quando i luoghi raccontano la fantasia.

Il programma ragazzi – curato da Teresa Porcella insieme all’Associazione Scioglilibro e in collaborazione con la Biblioteca Satta di Nuoro e con l’associazione l’Aleph – ha come tema di questa speciale edizione “Con il trucco e senza inganno” che allude al patto narrativo tra autore e lettore, ponendosi l’obiettivo di mostrare come il tema della finzione letteraria e del racconto sia una forma di fascinazione adatta a tutti, piccoli e grandi.

Per tre giorni viene proposta un’ampia serie di laboratori creativi, di illustrazione, narrazione, scultura, arte e danza, mostre e incontri con importanti autori del mondo culturale e letterario per ragazzi e adulti.

Tra gli ospiti alcune importanti autrici e illustratrici: Desideria Guicciardini ed Emanuela Nava con alcuni laboratori di narrazione e illustrazione in cui mostrano le diverse strade del racconto per parole e immagini, la cagliaritana Eva Rasano e Allegra Agliardi che tengono alcuni laboratori per bambini e ragazzi di diverse età. Presenti anche Sara Colaone, vera fuoriclasse nel campo della Graphic novel, sia per i contenuti sempre impegnati, che per la realizzazione illustrativa, chiamata a tenere i laboratori per ragazzi più grandi, e Manuel Mureddu, fumettista e autore, che lavora con i bambini ad un laboratorio di fumetto.

Da non mancare anche il duplice appuntamento con Gek Tessaro,  venerdì 5 alle 16.30, sul palco insieme a Federico Taddia – vincitore nel 2013 del Primio Andersen per la collana di divulgazione scientifica da lui curata e scritta per Editoriale Scienza “Teste toste” che dà, inoltre, il nome al suo incontro di domenica 7 – e sabato 6 alle 21.00, protagonista dello spettacolo Cuore di Chisciotte, un inno alla generosità della follia.

Impegnati, invece, in tutti e tre i giorni di Festival sono Marissa Morelli e Max Rommel, che mettono la loro abilità di architetti e designer a servizio dei bambini per creare scatole dei sogni tutte da guardare, Rita Deiola con i laboratori mattutini di danza – teatro delle ombre, Gianni Atzeni con i laboratori dedicati all’arte, ed Emanuele Ortu con Leggevo che ero, se telefonando, un laboratorio in cui l’amore per la lettura viene mostrato attraverso una recensione di 30 secondi da filmare sul telefonino.

Da sottolineare, inoltre, gli appuntamenti con Alessandro Sanna che dà una lezione di creatività allo stato puro con la performance Mano Felice, e con Linda Di Giacomo, burattinaia e truccatrice che da anni lavora nel teatro, protagonista con uno spettacolo di burattini e un laboratorio.

Particolare importanza hanno, infine, gli omaggi a due figure di rilievo del panorama culturale recentemente scomparse: Maria Lai e Roberto Denti. Alla prima, le cui opere narrative ed artistiche hanno sempre avuto un taglio adulto pur essendo allo stesso tempo vicine ai bambini, sono dedicati ogni giorno alle ore 11.00 dei laboratori – a cura dell’Associazione Scioglilibro, della Biblioteca Satta e del Muso MAN di Nuoro – che traggono spunto da alcune delle sue opere, mentre, al secondo, scrittore, intellettuale e primo libraio italiano ad aprire una libreria specializzata per ragazzi, è dedicato il reading di domenica 7 alle ore 12.00 in cui gli autori e operatori dello spazio ragazzi lo ricordano, attraverso un percorso di immagini, suoni e parole partendo da un brano tratto dai suoi libri.

Sempre a Maria Lai rende omaggio la collaborazione con la Fondazione Salvatore Cambosu che dedica a lei e allo scrittore orotellese due documentari: Dalla parola al segno uno splendido racconto che indaga e ricostruisce il fervido rapporto artistico tra i due, e Radici, il racconto di intellettuali, amici e critici letterari su Salvatore Cambosu e la Sardegna degli anni 50 e 60.

Come ogni anno torna anche la collaborazione con il Museo MAN di Nuoro che in occasione del Festival presenta – negli spazi del Museo Comunale di Gavoi (Ex Casa Lai) la mostra Testimonianze di Rosanna Rossi. Il progetto, ideato dal Museo MAN e coordinato da Giovanni Curreli, Enrico Piroddi, Giovanni Pisano e Alessandra Pinna, ricostruisce l’intenso percorso artistico di Rosanna Rossi attraverso una selezione di opere astratte realizzate tra i primi anni ’70 e i giorni nostri, che raccontano la coraggiosa ricerca pittorica di una tra le più innovative e apprezzate autrici sarde degli ultimi cinquant’anni.

Come ogni anno, le strade di Gavoi ospitano la mostra a cielo aperto della fotografa Daniela Zedda Istranzadura, con i ritratti dei protagonisti delle passate edizioni del Festival, mentre la piazza S.Gavino, nel centro storico del paese accoglie le installazioni artistiche del BAM-DESIGN.

Infine, grazie alla rinnovata collaborazione con Tiscali – media partner del Festival – è possibile seguire anche via web i principali appuntamenti e incontri che saranno trasmessi in diretta streaming.

On Friday, July 5, in fact, a guest on the stage together with the young writer Marta Pastorino, the English writer Alex Wheatle, Saturday 6 protagonists are writers Annamaria Hawks and Mark Porras, while on Sunday 7 has scheduled an appointment with an international flavor the poet and writer Romanian Ruxandra Cesereanu and the Austrian poet Karl Lubomirski. Thanks, however, to the collaboration with Liberos – network founded in 2012 as a place for discussion and for exchange and support between authors, publishers and booksellers Sardinian – on stage to do the honors of the house is the writer Chiara Valerio.

Saturday, July 6 returns to the now indispensable appointment with Dopofestival of 24.00, playful and ironic moment with the guests of the Festival and with final toast made from myrtle.

As per tradition, each meeting is preceded by a tribute that the festival makes important people in the world of culture, with readings this year by Italo Calvino, Franco Solinas and the Brothers Grimm. Of the latter, in particular, are read some fairy tales choices and rewritten by famous names from the literary Italian and German Grimmland part of the project sponsored by the Goethe-Institut.

This tenth edition also presents important new features. The meeting on Saturday morning at 9:00 am in Lodine, housed in the scenic square of this small town a few kilometers from Gavoi and dedicated to the work and suffering of time out of work, with Massimo Cirri – author of a book recently published, dedicated to this issue – and Crostelli Tiziana and Paola Fontana, working Agila – former Eutelia, moderated by Corrado Mandreoli, head of social policy at the Chamber of the work of Milan. The boys program – curated by Teresa Porcella Scioglilibro with the Association and in collaboration with the Library of Nuoro Satta and the Association the Aleph – the theme of this special edition “With the makeup and without deception,” which alludes to the pact narrative between author and reader, setting the goal of showing how the theme of literary fiction and narrative is a form of fascination for everyone, small and great.

Three days is offered a wide range of creative workshops, illustration, storytelling, sculpture, art and dance, exhibitions and meetings with important authors of the literary and cultural world for children and adults.

Among the guests some important authors and illustrators: Desideria Guicciardini and Emanuela Nava with some workshops in storytelling and illustration show the different ways in which the story in words and pictures, Cagliari Eva shave and Allegra Agliardi holding some workshops for children and young people different ages. Also present were Sara Colaone, a true champion in the field of Graphic novel, both in content and always busy, which for the illustrative embodiment, the call to hold workshops for older kids, and Manuel Mureddu, cartoonist and author, who works with children to a workshop of comics.

Of particular importance are, finally, the homage to two prominent figures of the cultural landscape recently passed away: Mary Lai and Roberto Teeth. At first, whose narrative and artistic works have always had a cut adult while being at the same time close to the children, are dedicated every day at 11.00 laboratories – Scioglilibro by the Association, the Library Satta and Muzzle MAN in Nuoro – which are inspired by some of his works, while the second, writer, intellectual and first Italian bookseller to open a bookshop for children, is dedicated reading on Sunday 7th at 12.00 in which the authors and operators of the space guys remember, through a series of images, sounds and words starting with an excerpt from his books.

Always pays tribute to Mary Lai collaboration with the Fondazione Salvatore Cambosu who devotes her and the writer orotellese two documentaries: From the word to sign a wonderful story that investigates and reconstructs the fervent artistic relationship between the two, and Roots, the story of intellectuals , literary critics and friends of Salvatore Cambosu and Sardinia the years 50 and 60.

How to return year after year, the collaboration with the Museum MAN in Nuoro on the occasion of the Festival presents – in the spaces of the Municipal Museum of Gavoi (Former House Lai), the exhibition Testimonials Rosanna Rossi. The project, conceived by the MAN Museum and coordinated by John Curreli, Enrico Piroddi, Giovanni Pisano and Alessandra Pinna, reconstructs the intense artistic career Rosanna Rossi through a selection of abstract works produced between the early 70s and the present day, which tell the courageous pursuit of painting one of the most innovative and respected writers of the last fifty years sardines.

As every year, the streets of Gavoi host the open-air exhibition of photographer Daniela Zedda Istranzadura, with portraits of the protagonists of the past editions of the festival, while the square S.Gavino in the historic center of the country welcomes the art installations of the BAM- DESIGN.
