LA NOTTE DEI MUSEI – MUSEO ARCHEOLOGICO VILLA SULCIS -CARBONIA – SABATO 18 MAGGIOTHE NIGHT OF MUSEUMS 2013 – ARCHEOLOGICAL MUSEUM VILLA SULCIS – CARBONIA – SATURDAY MAY 18

In occasione de “La notte dei Musei” il Museo Archeologico Villa Sulcis di Carbonia apre al pubblico dalle ore 21,00 alle ore 24,00 per guidarvi attraverso la storia in un’atmosfera di luci soffuse.

Il Museo Villa Sulcis fu inaugurato nel 1988 nel 50o anniversario della fondazione della cittá di Carbonia ed occupava due piccole sale al pian terreno della Villa del direttore delle miniere della cittá, col tempo si é reso necessario l’ampliamento degli spazi espositivi e nel 2008 fu inaugurato il nuovo museo composto da tre sale. La prima sala é dedicata al territorio e mostra reperti provenienti dall’intero comprensorio sulcitano coprendo tutte le fasi che vanno dal periodo Neolitico (600-2800 a.C.) fino all’Eneolitico ( 2800-1800 a.C,) all’etá del Bronzo (1800-900 a.C.) e del Ferro (900-550 a.C. ca.) toccando gli aspetti della nascita dell’agricoltura, il culto delle divinitá e la nascita dei primi villaggi e lo sviluppo della Civiltá Nuragica fino a giungere al periodo delle innovazioni tecnologiche che determinarono nuovi modelli insediativi grazie al contatto con i Greci, gli Etruschi e soprattutto i Fenici (900-550 a.C. ca.). Si descrive inoltre il territorio in etá Romana (238 a.C. – 500 d.C. ca.) proponendo i temi relativi al culto, alla monetazione e alla viabilitá. La seconda sala é dedicata al Sulcis fenicio, rappresentato dai materiali dell’antica Sulky (Sant’Antioco) e il centro di Bitia. Nella terza sala si espongono reperti provenienti dal sito fenicio punico di Monte Sirai punico ( 750- 100 a.C. ca.).

On the occasion of “The Night of the Museums” the Archaeological Museum Villa Sulcis of Carbonia opens to the public from 21.00 to 24.00 hours to guide you through the story in an atmosphere of soft lighting.

The Museum Villa Sulcis was inaugurated in 1988 in the 50th anniversary of the founding of the city of Carbonia and occupied two small rooms on the ground floor of the Villa of the Director of Mines of the city, over time it is necessary for the expansion of exhibition space and in 2008 was inaugurated the new museum consists of three rooms.
