L’esperienza di Ferai Teatro nasce dal precariato e si incarna in successi inanellati…uno tira l’altro..
La Compagnia Ferai Teatro nasce a Quartu nel 2007 dall’incontro tra l’attore e regista Andrea Ibba Monni e l’artista e performer Ga’ che uniscono le reciproche esperienze per un progetto di Baratto Teatrale: «Sangue D’Angelo»; «Air Can Hurt You»; «L’Arte come veicolo»; «El hombre mas cercano a Dios»; «Cantor Albus»; «El Club del Silencio» che vengono rappresentate a Quartu Sant’Elena, Cagliari, Gesico, Mandas e Villasor nel corso di questi anni.
Dal 2008 al 2011, inizia a condurre dei laboratori integrati presso le strutture dell’AIAS e della Fondazione S.Randazzo che hanno visto nascere il gruppo teatrale La Sesta Parete (composto dai pazienti dei centri e diretto da Ferai Teatro) che mette in scena «Il Silenzio dell’Anima» nel 2010 e «Fortuna è sera – il tempo qui non muore mai» nel 2011 oltre che a varie performance in vari festival, convegni e rassegne. Inoltre la Compagnia ai suoi inizi mette in scena spettacoli propri come «I danzatori tra le stelle», «Nel segno della Croce», «Terra Sarda» e conta circa quaranta allievi nella sua scuola di teatro “Il mestiere dell’Attore” a Cagliari che vanno in scena con una media di due rappresentazioni teatrali all’anno (con l’esplorazione di vari generi teatrali: commedia, commedia dell’Arte, teatro danza, dramma, recital, commedie musicali, tragedie, ecc…).
Nel 2011 e nel 2012 ha messo in scena il celebre “I Monologhi della Vagina” di Eve Ensler col patrocinio del VDAY mondiale, coinvolgendo 12 interpreti sarde di varie compagnie teatrali e ottenendo un enorme riscontro di pubblico che nel 2011 al Teatro Massimo e l’anno successivo all’Ex Liceo Artistico è arrivato complessivamente a 1500 unità.
Il 2012 è l’anno degli spettacoli di denuncia sociale “Snuff: pornografia allo stato impuro” e “Pornogay”.Nell’ambito delle arti visive realizza: «Maelstorm», «Spettri d’Acque profonde», «Requiem Natura», «Ovunque Proteggi», «Cantor Albus: il segno oscuro».
La Compagnia collabora attivamente con altre compagnie sarde come Lucido Sottile, La Maschera, Compagnia Teatro Santa Lucia e con ARC Cagliari.
