WORKSHOP DI DANZA CONTEMPORANEA – CAGLIARI – 8-13 APRILEWORKSHOP CONTEMPORARY DANCE – CAGLIARI – AVRIL 8 TO 13

L’ASMED organizza un seminario di danza contemporanea con Antony Rizzi, l’interprete dello spettacolo “Drugs Kept me Alive” di Jan Fabre, andato in scena a Cagliari lo scorso novembre per il Find 30.

Il seminario si svolgerà da lunedì 8 a sabato 13 aprile.

L’artista insegnerà le tecniche d’improvvisazione nello stile di William Forsythe, a cui si aggiungerà l’apprendimento di un solo contemporaneo, scelto tra le opere del grande coreografo americano.

Danzatore, coreografo, attore e insegnante, Rizzi è considerato uno degli artisti più polivalenti ed espressivi dell’attuale panorama artistico internazionale.

Americano di origini italiane, Rizzi ha studiato danza presso la Boston Ballet School con Bruce Wells e Violette Verdy, per poi approdare nel 1985 nel prestigioso Frankfurt Ballet, diretto da William Forsythe, presso cui è stato per ben vent’anni primo ballerino, assistente alle coreografie e interprete/creatore dei ruoli più importanti.

Rizzi ha inoltre collaborato con l’artista belga Jan Fabre e svolto il ruolo di protagonista in molti suoi lavori.

Come coreografo ha lavorato per compagnie del calibro del Bayerishce Staatsballet, Munich Dance Theater, Pennsylvania Ballet, Scapino Ballet e per il Royal Ballet of London, ricevendo numerosi premi e conferme.

The ASMED organizes a seminar on contemporary dance with Antony Rizzi, the interpreter of the show “Drugs Kept Me Alive” by Jan Fabre, staged in Cagliari last November to Find 30.

The seminar will be held from Monday 8 to Saturday, April 13.

The artist will teach the techniques of improvisation in the style of William Forsythe, which will add to the learning of one contemporary, chosen from the works of the great American choreographer.

Dancer, choreographer, actor and teacher, Rizzi is considered one of the most versatile and expressive artists of the international art scene.

American of Italian descent, Rizzi studied dance at the Boston Ballet School with Bruce Wells and Violette Verdy, before moving in 1985 in the prestigious Frankfurt Ballet, directed by William Forsythe, at which he was a principal dancer for twenty years, assistant choreographer and performer / creator of the most important roles.

Rizzi has also collaborated with the Belgian artist Jan Fabre and played the lead role in many of his works.

As a choreographer, he has worked for companies like the Bayerishce Staatsballet, Munich Dance Theater, Pennsylvania Ballet, Scapino Ballet and the Royal Ballet of London, receiving numerous awards and acknowledgments.
