Tre serate cariche di musica, con diciannove nomi in cartellone, tra gruppi e solisti nazionali e internazionali di generi e stili differenti, dal blues moderno all’indie-folk, dalla canzone d’autore all’ambient, dall’indie-rock all’elettronica. Musica ma anche arti visive e performance nel cartellone del Karel Music Expo edizione numero otto, il “festival delle culture resistenti” ideato e organizzato dalla cooperativa Vox Day, in programma a Cagliari nel primo weekend di ottobre, da giovedì 2 a sabato 4.

Ingresso speciale a 10 euro per tutti i ciclisti che raggiungeranno il Teatro Civico in bicicletta, grazie all’accordo di partenariato siglato con Cagliari Città Ciclabile.

Un’edizione che, proseguendo il percorso a tema cromatico delle più recenti (dedicate al “Nero” e al “Bianco”), si riconosce sotto il titolo “Rosso”, colore che, declinato in varie sfumature simboliche, evoca l’essenza umana, la vita, l’avventura, la guerra, e un’infinità di suggestioni che saranno esplorate attraverso la musica e altre forme d’espressione artistica.

Come di consueto, il festival fa base nello storico quartiere di Castello, con epicentro al Teatro Civico in via De Candia, sede abituale dei concerti del KME, ma con appuntamenti anche al centro culturale Il Ghetto, alla Torre dell’Elefante e allo Spazio Santa Croce.

• Iniziative collaterali

Per incentivare la mobilità sostenibile, nasce KME Express, un progetto in collaborazione con CTM spa, che nei giorni del festival, offrirà degli assaggi di musica live a bordo degli autobus, e KME in bicicletta che offre una riduzione del biglietto per coloro che raggiungeranno i concerti in bicicletta (partner dell’iniziativa: Cagliari Città Ciclabile).

Per collegare il Karel Music Expo con il resto dell’Isola c’è Ajò in pullmann… al KME, iniziativa che mette a disposizione bus con partenza da Sassari e Oristano per raggiungere Cagliari nei giorni del festival e ritornare in nottata a casa (Su prenotazione: Nicola 328 9053599, Marcello 328 946242).
Puntano invece alla valorizzazione del territorio e dei prodotti locali “Il mare d’autunno” (http://goo.gl/HdT9Iz), che propone, per il 23 settembre, un’escursione con pranzo a bordo della bi-albero Matilda, nello splendido mare di Villasimius, a un prezzo speciale per il pubblico del Karel Music Expo (informazioni e prenotazioni: e-mail voxdaycagliari@hotmail.com; telefono 070 840345), e “KME GUSTA!”, che offre convenzioni con alcuni ristoranti-agriturismo della provincia per degustare, a pranzo, i piatti della cucina tradizionale sarda. Il pubblico del KME potrà inoltre usufruire di speciali convenzioni con i B&B del centro storico di Cagliari per le notti del festival. All’interno di KME GUSTA! Anche le degustazioni dei vini delle Cantine di Sorso, rigorosamente rossi, nel rspetto del tema di questa edizione del Karel Music Expo.

Degustazioni a tema sono previste anche al Teatro Civico di Castello, dove è in programma pure un’antologia dei manifesti dei tanti concerti proposti in Sardegna da Vox Day in quasi un quarto di secolo di attività: poster di artisti come Iggy Pop, David Byrne, Robert Fripp e gruppi come Yes, Deep Purple, Placebo, Gong, Jethro Tull, per una sorta di anteprima del prossimo venticinquennale della cooperativa cagliaritana, attiva dal 1990.

Si rinnova inoltre la collaborazione con il web channel irlandese BalconyTV, che riprenderà i set acustici di alcuni artisti del KME in un suggestivo balcone del Quartiere Castello.8th edition KAREL MUSIC EXPO ‘

Three evenings full of music, with nineteen names on the bill, including national and international soloists and groups of different genres and styles, from modern blues-folk all’indie, from songwriting to ambient, from indie-rock to ‘electronics. Music but also visual arts and performance in the program of the Karel Music Expo edition number eight, the “festival of cultures resistant” conceived and organized by the cooperative Vox Day, held in Cagliari in the first weekend of October, from Thursday 2 to Saturday 4.

Special admission 10 euro for all cyclists who reach the Civic Theatre in cycling, thanks to the partnership signed with Cagliari City Cycle.

This edition, continuing the color theme of the most recent (dedicated to “Black” and “White”), is recognized under the title “Red” color, available in various shades symbolic, evoking the essence of human , life, adventure, war, and countless suggestions that will be explored through music and other forms of artistic expression.

As usual, the festival is based in the historic district of Castello, with its epicenter at the Teatro Civico in Via De Candia, regular home of the concerts of KME, with appointments but also the cultural center The Ghetto, the Tower of the Elephant and the Space Santa Cross.

• Collateral

To encourage sustainable mobility, was born KME Express, a project in collaboration with CTM spa, which in the days of the festival, will offer tastings to live music on the bus, and bicycle KME offers a rebate of the ticket for those who reach the concerts by bike (partner of the initiative: Cagliari City cycle).

To connect the Karel Music Expo with the rest of the island is Ajò in buses … at KME, an initiative that provides bus departing from Sassari and Oristano to reach Cagliari during the festival and return home in the night (Reservation : 328 9053599 Nicola, Marcello 328 946 242).
Pointing instead to promote the area and local products “The sea of Autumn” (http://goo.gl/HdT9Iz), which proposes to September 23, an excursion with lunch aboard the bi-tree Matilda, in the splendid sea of Villasimius, at a special price to the public of the Karel Music Expo (information and reservations: e-mail voxdaycagliari@hotmail.com, phone 070 840 345), and “KME GUSTA!” which offers discounts at a number restaurants-farm in the province to taste, at lunch, the traditional cuisine of Sardinia. The audience at the KME may also take advantage of special agreements with the B & B in the historical center of Cagliari for the nights of the festival. Within KME GUSTA! Even the tasting of wines from the cellars of Sip, strictly red, in rspetto the theme of this year’s Karel Music Expo.

Themed tastings are scheduled at the Teatro Civico di Castello, where he is also an anthology program of the posters of the many concerts offered in Sardinia by Vox Day in nearly a quarter century of activity: posters by artists such as Iggy Pop, David Byrne, Robert Fripp and groups like Yes, Deep Purple, Placebo, Gong, Jethro Tull, for a sort of preview of the next twenty-five years of the cooperative Cagliari, active since 1990.

It also renews the collaboration with the Irish BalconyTV web channel, which will resume the acoustic set of some of the artists KME in a scenic balcony of the Castle District.
