Anteprima (fuori stagione) per il XXXII Festival La Notte dei Poeti firmato CeDAC che per questo “preludio d’inverno”  si trasferisce al Teatro Massimo di Cagliari, dove mercoledì 19 febbraio alle 20.30 andrà in scena “La Carne del Marmo – Incontro con Michelangelo Buonarroti”, con Alessio Boni e e i danzatori della Compagnia Imperfect Dancers, per la regia di Alessio Pizzech.

Suoni, parole e visioni s’intrecciano nello spettacolo (nato per il Festival TonesOnTheStones 2012), suggestiva opera multimediale ispirata alla complessa figura d’uomo e d’artista, simbolo del Rinascimento, in un racconto fra luci e ombre che svela la solitudine, amaro prezzo del genio e di una sensibilità esasperata, e il tragico dilemma esistenziale tra spirito e materia. La pièce – in cui frammenti dei Diari e delle Rime svelano i pensieri e le inquietudini del maestro, ma anche la sua intima relazione con la pietra da cui trae e quasi “libera” plasmandole le sue sculture – disegna un (auto)ritratto dell’artista, che sperimenta la contraddizione tra il sentimento  della bellezza (e la sua eternità) e la fugacità della vita; creatore di iconografie inedite e autentici capolavori, Michelangelo adotta lo stesso stile trasgressivo anche nelle sue private passioni.

“Non ha l’ottimo artista alcun concetto
Ch’un marmo solo in sé non circoscriva
Col suo superchio, e solo a quello arriva
La man che ubbidisce all’intelletto”

“La Carne del Marmo” è quindi un viaggio nei labirinti della mente e del cuore di un genio, per riscoprirne la personalità e l’eclettico talento di architetto, pittore, scultore e perfino poeta, perfetta incarnazione dell’ideale rinascimentale ma anche il lato oscuro, in tutta la sua dolente umanità: la sua innegabile grandezza, di cui restano tracce imperiture (dal David alla Pietà ai “Prigioni”, agli affreschi della Cappella Sistina) e la rivendicata libertà d’espressione, non viene sminuita, ma semmai esaltata dagli aspetti più travagliati della sua esistenza.

Il fascino dell’artista con i suoi drammi segreti, e il suo desiderio di una perfezione raggiungibile solo dominando la materia, rivive in un’intrigante partitura scenica in cui le coreografie interpretate dagli Imperfect Dancers animano i paesaggi abitati dalle immagini dei capolavori – con le sequenze video di Giacomo Verde –  sulla colonna sonora di Dario Arcidiacono, creando la giusta cornice per un “racconto” affidato alla voce e alla presenza di Alessio Boni, quasi incarnazione dello spirito ribelle di Michelangelo e del suo rigore nell’invenzione e nella realizzazione delle sue opere. Le pagine del diario e i versi s’inseriscono nell’ordito dei raccordi drammaturgici curati da Gianmaria Cervo, che permettono di inseguire il filo dei pensieri e la profondità delle emozioni dell’autore; i costumi sono di Valerio Maggioni, mentre il disegno luci, essenziale per una drammaturgia evocativa che segue i cangianti stati d’animo, è di  Nevio Cavina.

In tournée nell’Isola sotto le insegne del CeDAC per la stagione di Prosa 2013-14, “La Carne del Marmo – Incontro con Michelangelo Buonarroti”  (lunedì 17 e martedì 18 febbraio alle 21 – in prima regionale – al Nuovo Teatro Comunale di Sassari e ancora giovedì 20 febbraio alle 21 al Teatro Centrale di Carbonia)  sbarca mercoledì 19 febbraio alle 20.30  al Teatro Massimo di Cagliari per un evento speciale nel segno del teatro e delle scritture in versi, preludio (invernale) al XXXII Festival La Notte dei Poeti previsto per la prossima estate a Nora.

Sounds , words, and visions are interwoven into the show ( for the Festival TonesOnTheStones born 2012) , an evocative multimedia work inspired by the complex figure of a man and an artist , a symbol of the Renaissance, in a tale of light and shade that reveals loneliness , bitter price of genius and a heightened sensitivity , and the tragic existential dilemma between spirit and matter. The play – in which fragments of the diary and the Rime reveal the thoughts and concerns of the teacher, but also his intimate relationship with the stone from which it takes almost “free” plasmandole his sculptures – draw a (self ) portrait of ‘ artist , who experiences the contradiction between the feeling of beauty ( and its eternity ) and the transience of life , the creator of iconography and unpublished masterpieces , Michelangelo adopts the same transgressive style also in his private passions.

” The Flesh of Marble” is thus a journey through the labyrinths of the mind and heart of a genius , to rediscover the personality and eclectic talent as an architect , painter, sculptor and poet even , the perfect embodiment of the Renaissance but also the side dark , in all its painful humanity: his undeniable greatness , of which traces remain imperishable (from David to the Pieta ” Prisons ” , the frescoes of the Sistine Chapel ) and the claimed freedom of expression, is not diminished , but rather enhanced more troubled by aspects of his existence.

The artist’s fascination with the secrets of his plays , and his desire for perfection can only be reached by dominating matter , lives in an intriguing score stage in which the choreography interpreted by Imperfect Dancers enliven landscapes inhabited by images of masterpieces – with the video sequences of James Green – on the soundtrack of Dario Arcidiacono , creating the perfect setting for a ” story” entrusted to the voice and presence of Alessio Boni, almost embodiment of the rebellious spirit of Michelangelo and his rigor in the invention and manufacture of the his works. The pages of the diary and the verses are inserted in the warp fittings dramaturgical edited by Gianmaria Deer, which allow you to pursue the train of thought and depth of the author’s emotions , costumes by Valerio Maggioni , while the lighting design , which is essential for an evocative drama that follows the changing moods, is Nevio Cavina .

On tour in the island under the banner of CEDAC for the 2013-14 season Prose , ” The Flesh of Marble – Meeting with Michelangelo Buonarroti ” (Monday, 17 and Tuesday, February 18 to 21 – in the first regional – the Nuovo Teatro Comunale di Sassari and again Thursday, February 20 to 21 at the Teatro Central Carbonia ) arrives Wednesday, February 19th at 20:30 at the Teatro Massimo di Cagliari for a special event in the sign of the theater and the scripture verse , a prelude ( winter ) to the XXXII Festival Night of the Poets expected for next summer at Nora.
