TANTI SALUTI vuole esplorare, attraverso una ricerca di stampo sociologico, il tema del morire ai nostri tempi. Sei brevi monologhi danno voce a medici e infermieri, i principali testimoni dell’ultima fase della nostra vita. Diversi i teatri del morire: sale di terapia intensiva, ospizi, reparti di lungo-degenza, hospice, case. Noi oggi abbiamo depositato nelle mani guantate di lattice dei professionisti gli attimi supremi della nostra esistenza, quegli attimi che forse ci possono far intravedere il mistero che siamo, il senso che cerchiamo. Ma il sistema medico legale ha maglie molto strette, non riesce a contemplare la variabile umana: la medicina deve vincere sempre, sempre e ad ogni costo e davanti alla morte non ha gesti o parole, nè protocolli di com-prensione, com-passione. E così, inquadrati nel ruolo dei familiari, all’interno dell’istituto nosocomiale, a noi vivi è consentito di continuare a nutrire ad oltranza la speranza nella guarigione per non dover mai considerare, vivendolo, il senso del congedo.
TANTI SALUTI porta in scena tre clown e a loro consegna il non dicibile: il racconto delle paure, degli smarrimenti e delle soluzioni paradossali che mettiamo in atto di fronte alla morte. Unici oggetti di scena: tre nasi rossi e una buffa cassa da morto. Chi ci può condurre attraverso le sabbie mobili di questo argomento se non un clown? Chi può rappresentare le nostre paure senza terrorizzarci? Chi può proporci un sano “memento mori” senza trasformarci tutti in monaci trappisti? Ridere di questi argomenti è necessario, utile, illuminante. Non è forse ridicola fino alle lacrime la nostra stupida pretesa d’immortalità? Ridere e sorridere per infondere alla nostra esperienza di vita e di morte una leggerezza densa e liberatrice. Infine: ridere perché l’opera artistica possa, di fronte alla morte, balbettare senza vergogna.

Due piccoli esseri umani, un uomo e una donna dalle fattezze ridotte, si ritrovano sul grande palco dell’esistenza, nascosti nel loro mistero di vita che li riduce dentro uno spazio sempre più stretto dall’arredamento essenziale, stranamente deforme, alla stregua dell’immaginario dei bimbi in fase febbricitante. Attraversano le sezioni della loro tenera per quanto altrettanto terribile, goffa e grottesca vita/giornata condivisa. Sembrano essere chiusi dentro una scatoletta di metallo, asettica e sorda alle bellezze di cui sono potenziali portatori, ma un “balzo” -nonostante le gambe molli- aprirà la custodia del loro carillon. Fuoriescono vivendo il sogno della vera vita da cui non v’è più bisogno di sfuggire, ma solo vivere, con la grazia e l’incanto di chi ha imparato ad amare la fame, la malattia dunque i limiti dello stare. Immagine-cripta sacra, surreale e festosa, quella del loro matrimonio lì dove come in una giostra di suoni, colori e coriandoli, finiranno per scambiarsi meravigliosi propositi di poesia: “…Essi si sarebbero svegliati e si sarebbero affrettati a baciarsi l’un l’altro, affrettandosi ad amare, avendo coscienza che i giorni sono brevi, che era tutto quello che rimaneva loro. Si sarebbero affrettati ad amare per spegnere la grande tristezza che era nei loro cuori(…)” F.Dostoevskij.

progetto GIVE ME MONEY, GIVE ME SEX_What the hell is happiness? (GMGS), nasce dal bisogno di confrontarsi con un concetto, un motore del fare quotidiano e con la sua spesso ossessiva ricerca: la felicità. Ognuno è portato a lottare per raggiungerla senza però capire né dove né come andare. L’ unica certezza è l’(auto)cacciata da un mondo perfetto, e la consapevolezza della quotidiana difficoltà di scelta. E allora ci chiediamo: come dobbiamo vivere?

Negli ultimi anni “GMGS. Quella di Peppino Impastato è una memoria difficile, che fatica a trovare spazio in una memoria più ampia, collettiva e, di conseguenza, tende a rimanere in una cerchia ristretta. Prima del film di Marco Tullio Giordana del 2000, “I cento passi”, Giuseppe Impastato era uno sconosciuto per i giovanissimi e per i meno giovani.
“Con le idee e il coraggio di Peppino noi continuiamo”, così si leggeva sullo striscione che apriva i funerali di Giuseppe Impastato, ucciso dalla mafia il 9 maggio 1978. È ancora attuale raccontare oggi la vicenda di un martire laico del ‘900? Può il teatro essere veicolo di tale comunicazione?
Noi pensiamo di sì.

MANY GREETINGS want to explore , through a search of a sociological , the theme of death in our times. Six short monologues give voice to doctors and nurses , the main witnesses of the last phase of our lives. Several theaters die : salt intensive care , hospices , long-term care wards , hospices , homes. Today we have deposited in latex -gloved hands of professionals the supreme moments of our existence, those moments that perhaps we can give a glimpse of the mystery that we are, the way we seek. But the system coroner mesh very tight , can not contemplate the human variable : medicine must always win , always and at any cost and before the death has no words or gestures , or protocols of understanding , compassion . And so, framed in the role of the family within the institution nosocomial us alive is allowed to continue to the bitter end to nourish the hope of recovery for never having to consider , living it , the sense of the leave.
MANY GREETINGS brings to the stage three clowns and their delivery is not speakable : the story of the fears , the loss and the solutions that we implement paradoxical in the face of death. Unique props : Three red noses and a funny coffin. Who can lead us through the quicksand of this argument if not a clown ? Who can represent our fears without terrorize us ? Who can propose a healthy “memento mori” turn us all in without Trappist monks ? Laugh of these topics is necessary, useful , enlightening. Is not it ridiculous to tears our stupid claim to immortality ? Laugh and smile to infuse our experience of life and of death a light dense and liberating . Finally : laugh because a work of art can, in the face of death , stutter without shame.

Living the dream of escaping real life from which there is no more need to escape , but just live with the grace and charm of one who has learned to love the hunger, disease , therefore, the limits of being . That is a memory of Peppino Impastato difficult, struggling to find space in a larger memory , collective and , therefore, tends to remain in a circle. Before the film by Marco Tullio Giordana , 2000, ” The Hundred Steps ” , Giuseppe Impastato was a stranger to the young and the young at heart.
“With the ideas and the courage to Peppino we continue ,” so you could read the banner that opened the funeral of Giuseppe Impastato , who was killed by the Mafia May 9, 1978 . It is still relevant today tell the story of a secular martyr of the 900 ? The theater can be a vehicle for such communication ?
