2nd EDITION FREE POINT – LA BACHECA GALLERY – CAGLIARI – 15 TO 29 SEPTEMBER

For the second consecutive year, the Art Gallery Board of Cagliari is home to Point Clear, collective personality of contemporary art that involves different backgrounds and origins.
The inaugural exhibition, curated by Serena Maffei last September, proposed a completely free environment in which ideas could “converge spontaneously, with no patterns of any kind.”
This year, the goal is to involve Libero Point artists from various parts of Sardinia, who express themselves through different art forms, from the traditional to the most experimental. Yet, compared to the previous edition, we wanted to give the theme a more specific facet result of the need to get back into the whole contemporary. In a world that quickly and mechanically imposes frenetic pace, Point Free is the ability to stop. The point is, in fact, a free choice, it is necessary that the stop is a watershed between our past experiences and the curiosity to imagine the infinite possibilities that more or less unconsciously create for our future.
The theme of the event is transformed, so, in the search for an alternative to modern conceit in a process that will encourage people to free themselves from subjection induced by the company to release the powers of imagination and discover their own individuality.
