Un parterre di piloti e auto d’eccezione si darà battaglia il prossimo weekend alla 29° Iglesias Sant’Angelo. Tra gli altri, alla prima prova del Campionato Italiano Velocità Montagna in Sardegna ci saranno i primi tre della classifica finale di campionato dello scorso anno. Iniziando dal “padrone di casa”
Omar Magliona, l’unico driver sardo che negli anni Duemila si è laureato campione italiano e ha vinto gare
assolute in CIVM, con l’agile Osella PA21 Evo Honda. Sul gradino più alto dei pretendenti alla vittoria sale il
fiorentino Simone Faggioli, campione europeo e italiano in carica che a Iglesias ripartirà all’attacco del Tricolore
con la monoposto Osella FA30 Zytek da 3000cc. Rivale che sul tecnico tracciato sardo proverà a dargli il più
possibile fastidio sarà il trentino Christian Merli (secondo lo scorso anno dietro a Magliona) in compagnia della
nuovissima Osella PA2000 Honda, prototipo appena realizzato che a Iglesias farà il debutto assoluto in
campionato. Nell’elenco iscritti della gara, che ha mantenuto i numeri del 2012 (71) ma ha innalzato notevolmente
la “qualità”, compaiono però altri piloti e bolidi di rilievo per il Tricolore. Intanto ci sarà una seconda FA30 per il
trentino De Gasperi e poi una bella schiera di Lola di F.3000 con l’umbro Fattorini e un altro trentino, Bottura, in
prima fila. Tra le GT compare l’ultima di casa Maranello, la Ferrari 458, con alla guida il padovano Ragazzi, mentre
tra le Turismo ecco la Lancia Delta Evo e la Mitsu Lancer Evo per due campioni italiani: il bolognese Fulvio
Giuliani e il bolzanino Rudi Bicciato. Ma è impossibile nominarli tutti, a iniziare dai tanti e agguerriti sardi in gara.
Per tutti, comunque, l’appuntamento è dal 3 al 5 maggio. Oltre che per il Tricolore, la 29° Iglesias-Sant’Angelo
sarà valida per la serie cadetta, il Trofeo Italiano Velocità Montagna (TIVM) con coefficiente punteggio maggiorato
(1,5), e per il Campionato Regionale. Stamani nella sede dell’Aci Cagliari, organizzatore dell’evento in
collaborazione con Provincia di Carbonia Iglesias, Comune di Iglesias, Regione e Parco geominerario della
Sardegna, l’attesa cronoscalata sarda è stata presentata dal presidente dello stesso automobile club, Giorgio
Ladu, che ha dichiarato: “Sportivamente siamo riusciti a mantenere la massima titolazione mettendo insieme un
elenco iscritti di primo piano, ma abbiamo lavorato anche in direzione della promozione del territorio, anche grazie
a un pacchetto turistico appositamente pensato per il 1° maggio. Tutto questo naturalmente non da soli, ma con il
supporto fondamentale delle altre istituzioni, con le quali l’evento è cresciuto nonostante il periodo non certo dei
più semplici. Fondamentali l’apporto dei volontari e le idee che abbiamo messo in campo per regalare al pubblico
il massimo dello show grazie a un maxischermo nella piazza centrale di Iglesias, a nuove tribune alla partenza e
alle dirette video a radio. Insomma, abbiamo ottimizzato il lavoro pensando a tutti. Siamo pronti a ospitare
scuderie, piloti e addetti di tutta Italia e il meglio della velocità in salita dell’isola. Ora tocca a loro dare spettacolo”.
Il tracciato della 29° Iglesias Sant’Angelo, immerso nel verde, parte dalla periferia di Iglesias e si snoda per 6020
metri fino al borgo di Sant’Angelo. L’evento prevede le verifiche sportive e tecniche venerdì 3 maggio dalle 15
alle 20.30 e sabato 4 maggio dalle 8 alle 9 del mattino. Per il pubblico sarà il primo “assaggio” con il paddock
dell’evento e i bolidi iscritti. Sempre sabato è il giorno delle prove ufficiali per i piloti ammessi, con partenza della
prima manche dalle 12.30 e la seconda a seguire. Domenica 5 maggio il clou con il via di gara-1 alle 9.30 e gara-
2 a seguire. Per la cronoscalata che apre l’intera stagione tricolore delle corse in salita è prevista la diretta video
in streaming sul sito www.cagliari.aci.it e la diretta audio in collaborazione con Radio Iglesias, network che
