Centosessanta musicisti per oltre quattro ore di musica. Si presenta così il saggio-concerto che domani (sabato 31) suggella a Nuoro la venticinquesima edizione del Seminario jazz coordinato da Paolo Fresu. Un grande happening che, per il terzo anno consecutivo, sceglie come “teatro” il capoluogo barbaricino, a ribadire il legame con la sua città dell’iniziativa didattica organizzata dall’Ente Musicale di Nuoro.

L’epicentro, stavolta, è fra piazza Vittorio Emanuele e il Mercato Civico, un percorso scandito da ventidue postazioni diverse dove, suddivisi in altrettanti organici e gruppi di musica d’insieme, si avvicenderanno gli allievi dei corsi ma anche i docenti con cui hanno condiviso le undici, intense giornate di studio teorico e pratico del jazz di questa edizione del Seminario (partita mercoledì 21 agosto): Tino Tracanna (che ha curato la classe di sassofono), Roberto Cipelli (pianoforte), Marcella Carboni (arpa jazz), Maria Pia De Vito e Elisabetta Antonini (canto jazz e laboratorio vocale), Attilio Zanchi (basso e contrabbasso), Ettore Fioravanti (batteria), Bruno Tommaso (armonia), Riccardo Parrucci (flauto e tecnica Alexander), Corrado Guarino (orchestra laboratorio), Giovanni Agostino Frassetto (flauto, armonina di base e tecnica dell’improvvisazione) e, naturalmente, Paolo Fresu (tromba e flicorno).

Sono il corpo docente “storico” dei Seminari jazz di Nuoro, quello che ha contribuito a formare gli oltre tremila allievi passati da queste parti in un quarto di secolo, e che dalla prossima edizione cederà il testimone a una nuova leva di insegnanti: il trombettista Marco Tamburini, il sassofonista Emanuele Cisi, le cantanti Cinzia Spata e Francesca Corrias, il pianista Dado Moroni, il chitarrista Bebo Ferra (già da questa edizione titolare della classe di chitarra) il contrabbassista Paolino Dalla Porta, il batterista Stefano Bagnoli e Enrico Merlin per le lezioni musicologiche. Volti noti della scena jazzistica italiana, che dal 2014 porteranno in dote le rispettive esperienze e un’altra visione del jazz e della didattica, ma nel rispetto della “storia” dei corsi nuoresi, insieme a Marcella Carboni (già da due anni nel corpo docente) e a due esponenti della “vecchia guardia”, Giovanni Agostino Frassetto e Roberto Cipelli (che sarà il nuovo coordinatore dei corsi).

Ci sarà spazio anche per i nuovi docenti nel saggio-concerto finale di domani sera (sabato 31), così come per una formazione ospite, cui spetterà il compito di aprire, alle 19.30, la lunga serata a Nuoro: la Funky Jazz Orchestra, ensemble di venticinque elementi (prevalentemente fiati), di base a Berchidda, apprezzato nelle ultime due edizioni del festival Time in Jazz col suo repertorio che spazia tra funky, soul e dixieland con brani originali scritti dal suo direttore, il trombettista Antonio Meloni, e arrangiamenti di pezzi famosi di autori come Herbie Hancock, Maceo Parker, Aretha Franklin e Ray Charles.

A precedere il saggio finale, un altro appuntamento immancabile dell’ultimo giorno del Seminario attende allievi e docenti nella scuola civica di via Mughina: la cerimonia di assegnazione delle borse di studio ai corsisti più meritevoli. Una andrà al migliore allievo di ogni classe di strumento, e consiste nell’iscrizione gratuita alla prossima edizione del seminario nuorese; la borsa “Billy Sechi” (dedicata al ricordo del batterista cagliaritano scomparso otto anni fa) offre invece la possibilità di partecipare ai corsi di Siena Jazz; e, naturalmente, ci saranno le borse di studio per formare il gruppo che l’anno prossimo, come di consueto, si esibirà al festival Time in Jazz di Berchidda e nella serata inaugurale del ventiseiesimo Seminario jazz di Nuoro.

In occasione del saggio finale, che in caso di pioggia si terrà all’interno del Mercato Civico, il ristorante “Il rifugio” e l’associazione “La strada del vino Cannonau” proporranno una degustazione (a pagamento) a base di prodotti di qualità dell’enogastronomia sarda.

They are the teachers “historic” Jazz Seminars in Nuoro, what has helped train more than three thousand students passed around here in a quarter of a century, and that the next edition will sell the baton to a new generation of teachers : trumpeter Marco Tamburini , saxophonist Emanuele CISI , the singers Cinzia Spata and Francesca Corrias , pianist Dado Moroni , guitarist Bebo Ferra ( already this year the class teacher of guitar ), bassist Paolino Dalla Porta , drummer Stefano Bagnoli and Enrico Merlin musicological lessons . Familiar faces of the Italian jazz scene , which from 2014 will bring a dowry of their experience and another vision of jazz and teaching, but in respect of the “history ” of the courses Nuoro , along with Marcella Carboni ( for two years in the faculty ) and two members of the “old guard” , Giovanni Agostino and Roberto Frassetto Cipelli (which will be the new coordinator of the courses ) .

There will also be space for new teachers in the essay – final concert tomorrow night (Saturday 31) , as well as a host formation , which will have the task of opening , at 19.30 , the long evening in Nuoro : the Funky Jazz Orchestra , an ensemble twenty-five elements (mainly wind ) , based in Berchidda , appreciated in the last two editions of the festival Time in Jazz with his repertoire that ranges from funky , soul and dixieland with original songs written by its director , trumpeter Antonio Meloni, and arrangements of famous pieces by composers such as Herbie Hancock, Maceo Parker , Aretha Franklin and Ray Charles.

To precede the final essay , another major event of the last day of the Seminary expects students and faculty in the school of civic via Mughina : the awarding ceremony of the scholarships to the most deserving students . One will go to the best student of each class of instrument , and entail the access to the next edition of the seminar Nuoro and the case ” Billy Sechi ” ( dedicated to the memory of drummer Cagliari passed away eight years ago ) provides the opportunity to attend courses Siena Jazz , and , of course , there will be scholarships to form the group that next year , as usual , will perform at the festival of Berchidda Time in Jazz and on the opening night of the twenty-sixth of Nuoro Jazz Seminar .

On the occasion of the final essay , which in case of rain will be held in the Municipal Market , the restaurant ” The Refuge ” and the association ” The wine road Cannonau ” will offer a tasting (fee ) based on quality products eno Sardinia.
