XXI^ SAGRA DEL MIELE 2014
Le Nazioni Unite hanno nominato il 2014 Anno Internazionale dell’Agricoltura Familiare (per porre in risalto l’enorme potenziale degli agricoltori a livello familiare nella lotta alla fame e per la preservazione delle risorse naturali. Sia nel mondo sviluppato che nei paesi in via di sviluppo, oltre 500 milioni di aziende agricole a conduzione familiare (definite come aziende che si basano principalmente sui membri familiari per lavoro e gestione) producono cibo per sfamare miliardi di esseri umani.
La XXI^ edizione della sagra è dedicata all’Anno Internazionale dell’Agricoltura Familiare ponendo l’attenzione sull’importante ruolo che anche l’apicoltura gioca nell’alleviare la fame e la povertà, nel rafforzare la sicurezza alimentare e la nutrizione, nel migliorare i mezzi di sussistenza, nella gestione delle risorse naturali, nella protezione dell’ambiente e nel raggiungere uno sviluppo sostenibile, in particolare nelle zone rurali. Sono le agricolture contadine che anche in Sardegna hanno garantito la produzione locale, la coltivazione delle terre, lo sviluppo stesso delle campagne, tramandando le nostre tradizioni.
La Sagra del Miele, che è ormai una consolidata consuetudine nel panorama degli appuntamenti che caratterizzano la stagione turistica del Medio Campidano, porta nel centro minerario non solo esperti e appassionati di miele, ma richiama anche il grande pubblico per il fascino degli allestimenti predisposti e le varie iniziative di contorno.
Guspini fa parte delle Città dei Miele riconosciute dal mondo dell’apicoltura italiana per il loro impegno a favore dei mieli. La missione delle Città del Miele è promuovere i territori che danno origine e identità ai mieli italiani, evidenziando i valori storici, culturali, sociali e ambientali che caratterizzano la qualità e la diversità dei mieli nazionali, consapevoli che L’Italia è l’unico Paese al mondo a vantare oltre 60 diverse tipologie di mieli, ognuno dei quali trova la sua identità d’origine nelle tante e diverse fioriture regionali che costituiscono il patrimonio ambientale italiano, in primis le aree della nostra macchia mediterranea.
Al centro dell’attenzione è naturalmente il miele, l’iniziativa deve gran parte del suo successo anche al fatto di proporre una serie di stimolanti spunti di contorno, cercando di soddisfare le aspettative dei numerosi visitatori che hanno a disposizione un nutrito programma e una location naturale di tutto rispetto: il polmone verde di Montevecchio e i resti della miniera.
La cultura del miele appassiona ormai tutti per questo nella due giorni, dedicata al prezioso regalo delle api, aspettiamo migliaia di persone che hanno la possibilità di visitare gli stand e di assaggiare le varietà di miele e conoscere dai produttori come nasce uno degli alimenti più preziosi della dieta mediterranea.
Si potranno degustare tutti i mieli che hanno ricevuto attestati di qualità nel 15° concorso mieli tipici di Sardegna.
Inoltre grazie al caseificio L’armentizia Moderna nei due giornate sarà possibile degustare anche la ricotta con il miele.
Ma la Sagra non è solo dolcissime degustazioni di “miele” e di altri pregevoli prodotti del territorio, ma anche tradizione, iniziative culturali spettacoli e mostre, a corollario della manifestazione che danno valore aggiunto e rendono la Sagra del miele, anche quest’anno la festa di tutti, famiglie e giovani.
Ci saranno le premiazioni e l’esposizione degli elaborati che hanno partecipato alla 2^ edizione del concorso fotografico nazionale dal titolo “L’APE, IL MIELE E L’AMBIENTE”, La premiazione avverrà il 23 agosto a Montevecchio,
Il convegno tecnico del 23 agosto “APICOLTURA: PROSPETTIVE FUTURE E CONTRIBUTO ALLO SVILUPPO SOSTENIBILE DEL TERRITORIO REGIONALE ”. Alla fine della mattinata le premiazioni della 15^ edizione del concorso Regionale Premio qualità mieli tipici ”Montevecchio”, che rimane l’unico concorso regionale sul miele in Sardegna.
Numerosi Apicoltori esporranno nei due giorni della Sagra, il loro miele negli stand allestiti negli spazi adiacenti la Palazzina della Direzione. Ci sarà una nutrita partecipazione di produttori provenienti da diverse località della Sardegna, a dimostrazione che la Sagra sta acquisendo anche una valenza economica non indifferente.
Sarà possibile come ogni anno fare escursioni alle 6.00 e alle 18.00 sia del 23 che del 24 all’areale del cervo sardo accompagnati dalle associazioni storiche che operano nel settore della salvaguardia degli ungulati, Elafos, Ente Foreste della Sardegna ecc.
Inoltre escursioni nordic walking tiro con l’arco, laboratori e intrattenimento per bambini, ed esibizione di gruppi folk.
Ci saranno dei laboratori sensoriali olfattivi, laboratori di feltratura con ago di lana, preparazione di unguenti con cera e olio.

XXI ^ HONEY FESTIVAL 2014
The United Nations has named 2014 the International Year of Family Agriculture (to emphasize the enormous potential of the farmers at the household level in the fight against hunger and for the preservation of natural resources. Both in the developed world and in developing countries , more than 500 million family-run farms (defined as companies that mainly rely on family members for labor and management) produce food to feed billions of human beings.
The twenty-first edition of the festival is dedicated to the International Year of Agriculture Family focusing on the important role that beekeeping plays in alleviating hunger and poverty, increase food security and nutrition, improving livelihoods, management of natural resources, protection of the environment and achieving sustainable development, particularly in rural areas. Are peasant farming that also in Sardinia have guaranteed local production, the cultivation of land, the very development of the countryside, passing on our traditions.
The Honey Festival, which is now a well-established practice in the panorama of events that characterize the tourist season in the Middle Campidano door in the mining center not only experts and enthusiasts of honey, but also refers to the general public for the charm of the preparations and prepared various initiatives outline.
Guspini is part of the City of Honey beekeeping recognized by the Italian world for their commitment to the honeys. At the center of attention is of course the honey, the initiative owes much of its success to the fact of proposing a series of stimulating ideas for side dish, trying to meet the expectations of many visitors have at their disposal a full program and a location natural, though: the green lung of Montevecchio and the remains of the mine.
The culture of honey now passionate about all this in two days, dedicated to the precious gift of bees, expect thousands of people who have the opportunity to visit the booths and sample the variety of honey and the producers know how one of the most valuable foods of the Mediterranean diet.
You will be able to taste all the honeys who have received certificates of quality in the 15th competition typical honey of Sardinia.
Moreover, thanks to the dairy herding The Modern in two days you can also taste the ricotta with honey.
But the festival is not only sweet tasting “honey” and other valuable products of the territory, but also tradition, cultural shows and exhibitions, as a corollary of the event to give added value and make the Honey Festival, this year the feast of all, families and young people.
There will be prizes and exposure of the projects that have participated in the 2nd edition of the national contest entitled “BEE, HONEY AND THE ENVIRONMENT” The award ceremony will take place on August 23 at Montevecchio,
The technical conference of 23 August “APICOLTURA: FUTURE PROSPECTS AND CONTRIBUTION TO SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF REGIONAL LAND.” At the end of the morning the awards ceremony of the 15th edition of the Regional Quality Award typical honey “Montevecchio,” which remains the only regional competition on honey in Sardinia.
Many beekeepers will exhibit during the two days of the festival, their honey in the stands set up in the spaces adjacent to the house of the Directorate. There will be a large participation of producers from different areas of Sardinia, demonstrating that the Festival is also acquiring a considerable economic value.
It will be possible every year to hike at 6.00 and at 18.00 which is the 23 of 24 to th Sardinian deer, accompanied by historical associations working in the field of conservation of ungulates, Elafos, Forestry Agency of Sardinia etc..
Also hiking nordic walking archery, workshops and children’s entertainment, and exhibition of folk groups.
There will be workshops olfactory sensory workshop with needle felting wool, preparation of ointments with wax and oil.
