Uno Sguardo Normale – Sardinia Queer Short Film Festival 2013 è un concorso cinematografico dedicato a cortometraggi, inediti e non, a tematica gay, lesbica, bisessuale, transgender e queer, in tutte le sue possibili diverse accezioni, prospettive e realtà.

USN|festival si inserisce nel cartellone di iniziative di “Uno Sguardo Normale Expo 2013″, una settimana intera di cinema, letteratura, incontri di approfondimento e formazione dedicati alla cultura omosessuale, transgender e queer, organizzata dall’Associazione Culturale ARC di Cagliari, dal Circolo del Cinema ARCinema, membro della Federazione Italiana dei Circoli del Cinema, e dall’Associazione Studentesca universitARC.

USN|expo si propone così, anche quest’anno, di sensibilizzare la società, attraverso l’universale mezzo di comunicazione dell’arte, sui temi delle naturali differenze di orientamento sessuale e di identità di genere, e sulla necessità di raggiungere equivalenti diritti civili per tutte e tutti. Inoltre, attraverso il Festival, ARC, ARCinema e universitARC perseguono l’obiettivo di valorizzare e promuovere le produzioni cinematografiche, anche piccole e piccolissime, dedicate a questo tema; favorire il confronto e lo scambio culturale tra le produzioni di paesi diversi; offrire alla città di Cagliari e alla Sardegna la possibilità di scoprire un mondo cinematografico poco conosciuto.

La rassegna di “Uno Sguardo Normale” (a cui il Festival si affianca), giunta alla sua undicesima edizione consecutiva, sarà organizzata lungo sette giornate, da lunedì 25 novembre a domenica 1 dicembre 2013, presso il Cineteatro “Nanni Loy” dell’E.R.S.U. (la serata finale è invece previsto che si svolga presso una sala cinematografica della città), durante la quale saranno proiettati, oltre ai cortometraggi in concorso, anche sei lungometraggi internazionali a tematica omosessuale, transgender e queer, di rilevante importanza artistica o sociale. È inoltre previsto che, come ogni anno, le proiezioni vengano introdotte da incontri pubblici con autori, interpreti e altre personalità, e che vengano seguite dal dibattito del pubblico, secondo il progetto culturale di educazione degli adulti e nel rispetto del diritto alla risposta del pubblico, promosso dalla F.I.C.C. – Federazione Italiana dei Circoli del Cinema.

Alla preselezione del concorso sono ammessi cortometraggi della durata massima di 30 minuti, anche non inediti, delle seguenti tipologie: documentario, fiction, animazione, videoclip, videoarte. La partecipazione al concorso è gratuita e aperta a tutte e tutti, senza limiti di età e di nazionalità. Ogni autrice o autore può inviare una o più opere, compilando per ciascun lavoro la relativa scheda di iscrizione (entry-form), scaricabile (insieme al bando) dal sito internet www.usnexpo.it. Le opere devono essere inviate, in busta chiusa con l’intestazione “UNO SGUARDO NORMALE 2013 – FESTIVAL”, entro la data di scadenza (13 ottobre 2013), alla segreteria di USN|festival, presso il seguente indirizzo:

Invio digitale dei cortometraggi per la preselezione

La Segreteria del Sardinia Queer Short Film Festival 2013 comunica che, ai fini di una ricezione semplificata dei cortometraggi in preselezione, autori e autrici potranno presentare i loro lavori in buona risoluzione (minimo qualità dvd: 720×576 pixel), attraverso un link online a servizi di upload specifici (come Vimeo), protetti da password, in allegato a una comunicazione via e-mail all’indirizzo: associazionearc@gmail.com, con oggetto il titolo: “UNO SGUARDO NORMALE 2013 – FESTIVAL” e, contestualmente, la scansione dell’entry-form, in formato PDF, interamente compilato e debitamente firmato. Senza la presentazione dell’entry-form non sarà possibile accettare in preselezione il lavoro presentato.

Nel caso dell’ammissione del corto al Festival presentato in preselezione, gli autori e le autrici dovranno comunque inviare il restante materiale come previsto nel regolamento del Festival.
Resta invariata la data della dead-line per la presentazione: 13 ottobre 2013.

A Look Normal – Sardinia Queer Short Film Festival 2013 is a film contest dedicated to short films, previously unseen themed gay, lesbian , bisexual , transgender and queer in all its possible different meanings , perspectives and realities .

USN | festival is part of the program of activities of ” A Look Normal Expo 2013,” a full week of cinema, literature, in-depth meetings and training dedicated to gay culture , transgender and queer , organized by the Cultural ARC of Cagliari, from circle Cinema ARCinema , a member of the Italian Federation of Film Societies , and the Association of Student universitARC .

USN | expo aims so again this year to raise awareness in society , through the universal medium of communication of art, on the topics of natural differences in sexual orientation and gender identity , and the need to achieve equal civil rights for everybody. In addition, through the Festival, ARC , and ARCinema universitARC pursue the objective of enhancing and promoting the film productions , including small and small , dedicated to this theme ; foster dialogue and cultural exchange between the productions of different countries offer the city Cagliari and Sardinia the opportunity to discover a little-known film world .

The review of ” A Look Normal” (which joins the Festival ) , now in its eleventh year in a row , will be organized along seven days , from Monday, November 25 to Sunday, December 1, 2013 , at the IMAX ” Nanni Loy ” ERSU ( the final evening is instead expected to take place at a movie theater in the city) , during which will be screened , as well as short films , six international gay-themed films , transgender and queer , of significant artistic or social . It is also expected that , as every year , the projections are introduced to public meetings with writers, actors and other personalities, and are followed by the discussion of the public, according to the cultural project of adult education and in respect of the right to public response , sponsored by the FICC – Italian Federation of Film Societies .

At the pre-selection contest is open to short films up to 30 minutes, also not unusual , of the following types: documentary , fiction, animation , video clip, video art. Participation in the competition is free and open to all and everyone, regardless of age and nationality. Each author or author may submit one or more works , filling in for each job on the entry form ( entry form ) can be downloaded (along with the announcement) from the website www.usnexpo.it . The works must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the heading ” A LOOK NORMAL , 2013 – FESTIVAL” , by the due date (13 October 2013) , the secretariat of USN | festival , at the following address :

Enter digital short films for pre-selection

The Secretariat of Sardinia Queer Short Film Festival 2013 announces that, for the purposes of receipt of the short films in simplified preselection , authors and authors will present their work in good resolution (minimum dvd quality : 720×576 pixels ) , through a link to online services upload specific (like Vimeo) , password-protected , attached to a communication by e-mail at: associazionearc@gmail.com , with the subject title : ” a LOOK NORMAL , 2013 – FESTIVAL” and, simultaneously, scanning the ‘ entry- form, in PDF format , fully completed and duly signed . Without the submission of the entry -form will not be possible to accept the work presented in the pre-selection .

In the case of the admission of the short film at the Festival presented by dialing , the authors and the authors will still have to send the remaining material as provided for in the rules of the Festival .
It does not influence the date of the dead-line for submission : October 13, 2013 .
