Protagonista dell’anteprima del Festival Abbabula 2014 sarà Stefano Bollani che porterà sul palco del Nuovo Teatro Comunale il suo spettacolo “Piano Solo”. Sarà quindi la volta di due grandi eventi gratuiti che vedranno come ospiti i Train To Roots (9 maggio), tra i protagonisti indiscussi della scena reggae italiana e la storica band dei The Bluebeaters (10 maggio).

Il festival chiuderà in bellezza, il 13 maggio, con il grande Caetano Veloso, vero ambasciatore della musica brasiliana nel mondo, che dopo tanto tempo tornerà in Sardegna, in data unica regionale, nell’ambito del tour mondiale “ABRAÇAÇO Tour 2014”.

Durante il Festival, le piazze della città e i siti storici del centro ospiteranno eventi dedicati alla musica e alle parole d’autore, con un ricco programma che inizierà già dal pomeriggio e si concluderà in tarda notte.  Abbabula, da sempre caratterizzato per l’attenzione che dedica alla qualità delle sue proposte, opera anche un lavoro di ricerca che non si limita ai grandi nomi della scena musicale italiana, ma che si dedica ai nuovi talenti emergenti.

Spazio quindi alle giovani promesse della musica italiana come Tommaso Di Giulio (9 maggio) e Ilaria Porceddu (10 maggio) e a quelle regionali come i cagliaritani Takoma (9 maggio) e ChiaraeFFe (10 maggio), ma anche a cantautori d’esperienza come Peppe Voltarelli (9 maggio) e all’originale performance del DJset “Balcan Grill” con Dj Pravda e Chef Berna. Ad aprire la sessione di maggio del Festival sarà la produzione “Un artista oggi: deve morire”, pensata e prodotta appositamente per Abbabula dalla scrittore Giuseppe Rizzo e dal cantautore Lorenzo Urciullo in arte Colapesce (8 maggio).

Per i nottambuli del Festival, questa edizione, in collaborazione con l’Associzione The Hor, propone “Abbabula nuovi suoni”, una sezione dedicata alla nuova scena alternativa con i concerti delle band Did e Foxhound.

Tante le iniziative collaterali in programma, dalle lezioni di cucina per preparare merende naturali alla mostra mercato di prodotti a km zero organizzata in collaborazione con Campagna Amica, Coldiretti e le Proloco della Provincia di Sassari, fino alla produzione di eventi in sinergia con l’Associazione Florovivaisti di Confcommercio Nord Sardegna e la società AIR (Ambiente in rete) che negli stessi giorni organizzano in città una grande manifestazione dedicata ai fiori e alle piante e la mostra didattica “Sostenibil.mente”.

Non mancherà l’Abbabulababy, spazio che da sempre il festival dedica ai bambini e che quest’anno verrà curato in collaborazione con due scuole primarie della città, il “I Circolo Didattico San Donato” e il “V Circolo Didattico di Via Gorizia”. Per i piccoli spettatori è stato ideato un cartellone ricco di eventi, con gli spettacoli Filastrocche’n’roll e Biancaneve e un bé di nani, le merende con prodotti biologici e le attività ludiche di sensibilizzazione sui diritti dei più piccoli e gli spazi urbani a loro dedicati in collaborazione con Tamalacà, spin off della Facoltà di Architettura di Alghero.

Anche quest’anno, in collaborazione con il partner Autolinee Mereu, è stato istituito, per i concerti di Stefano Bollani e Caetano Veloso, l’Abbabus, bus navetta da Cagliari e Oristano / Santa Giusta per raggiungere comodamente Sassari, con un biglietto a prezzo concordato, senza avere l’onere di guidare la notte e potendosi permettere una birra post-concerto.

Il Festival Abbabula continua anche quest’anno il lavoro di concertazione con i tanti soggetti che operano nell’isola, istituzionali e privati, con l’obiettivo di supportare fattivamente un progetto più ampio di sviluppo territoriale efficace e condiviso.

La 16° edizione del Festival Abbabula è realizzata grazie al contributo degli Assessorati Regionali dello Spettacolo e del Turismo, dell’Assessorato alle Culture del Comune di Sassari, della Banca di Sassari e della Fondazione Banco di Sardegna.  Anche per questo Abbabula rinnova la collaborazione con il Premio Tenco, che riconosce al Festival il proprio patrocinio già dal 2007.

Il Festival di musica e di parole d’autore Abbabula, contrazione della frase sarda “acqua alla gola”, è la creatura più conosciuta della cooperativa “Le ragazze terribili”, che opera dal 1988 nel settore della produzione e promozione di eventi culturali. In quindici edizioni il Festival Abbabula ha ospitato il meglio della scena musicale italiana con artisti del calibro di Fiorella Mannoia, Max Gazzè, Niccolò Fabi, Vinicio Capossela, Ivano Fossati, Carmen Consoli, gli Avion Travel, Caparezza, i Marta sui Tubi oltre a tanti altri artisti di grande prestigio. Inoltre, a rappresentare l’universo letterario, sono saliti sul palco artisti come Arnoldo Foà, Stefano Benni, Massimo Carlotto e Flavio Soriga.

Abbabula has always been characterized by its emphasis on the quality of its proposals , also operates a research work which is not limited to the big names of Italian music scene , but that is dedicated to new talents .

For night owls of the Festival, this year , in collaboration with the Association for The Hor , proposes ” Abbabula new sounds ,” a new section dedicated to alternative music scene with concerts of the band and Did Foxhound .

Many side events on the program, from cooking lessons to prepare snacks at the exhibition of natural products at zero km organized in collaboration with Campagna Amica , Coldiretti and Proloco the Province of Sassari , to the production of events in collaboration with the Association Florovivaisti Confcommercio Northern Sardinia and now AIR (Environment network) that on the same day in the city organized a large demonstration dedicated to flowers and plants and the educational exhibition ” Sostenibil.mente .”

The Festival continues this year Abbabula the work of consultation with many parties operating in the island, institutional and private , with the aim of actively supporting a larger project of territorial development and effective shared .

The 16th edition of the Festival Abbabula is realized with the support of the Departments of the Regional Performing Arts and Tourism, the Directorate of Culture of the Municipality of Sassari, Sassari Bank and the Fondazione Banco di Sardegna .
