Quindici anni insieme a Dromos. È un traguardo importante quello che si appresta a tagliare il festival organizzato dall’omonima associazione culturale oristanese: tre lustri di storia, scritta insieme alle decine di grandi artisti ospitati, agli innumerevoli eventi e alle migliaia di spettatori che li hanno seguiti. Un percorso che, dalla prima edizione del 1999 fino a oggi, ha condotto anno dopo anno il festival a diventare una delle manifestazioni più attese dell’estate di spettacolo in Sardegna.

L’appuntamento con la quindicesima edizione di Dromos è dal 27 luglio al 16 agosto a Oristano e in altri otto centri della sua provincia – Baratili San Pietro, Marrubiu, Mogoro, Nurachi, Nureci, Uras, Villanova Truschedu, Villa Verde – con un cartellone come sempre ricco e variegato.

Come da tradizione, i concerti con grandi nomi – come i già annunciati Carmen Souza, Roberto Fonseca, Stefano Bollani, Al Jarreau, Nils Petter Molvaer, Lucas Santtana, Paolo Fresu e Uri Caine -, la rassegna letteraria curata dall’associazione culturale Luna Scarlatta, le mostre di Salvatore Garau e Gianluca Vassallo, gli incontri e gli altri appuntamenti in programma, sono uniti anche quest’anno da un fil rouge ispiratore: “Krísis”. Il tema scelto dal direttore artistico Salvatore Corona insieme al critico d’arte Ivo Serafino Fenu è fortemente rappresentativo del tempo che viviamo. Tempo di crisi, appunto, su cui tuttavia occorre soffermarsi tornando al duplice significato del termine nell’etimologia greca: Krísis, infatti, allude sia alla complessa e difficile condizione della contemporaneità, sia a quelle pulsioni al cambiamento che ogni crisi può innescare, facendo dunque presagire un futuro non per forza negativo e, anzi, addirittura migliore. Un tema perfettamente sintetizzato dal manifesto dell’artista Gianluca Vassallo: un’icona al contempo archetipa e futuribile, inquietante e ambigua, funerea come quanto un cadavere avvolto nel suo sudario e palingenetica, come può esserlo un nascituro all’interno della sua placenta.

Per il settimo anno consecutivo ritorna, inoltre, Mamma Blues, l’immancabile appuntamento di metà agosto che quest’anno farà tappa in tre giornate anticipatorie a Villanova Truschedu, Marrubiu e Villa Verde prima di approdare, a cavallo di Ferragosto, nella sua sede abituale, Nureci, per le ultime tre serate.

Krísis – i concerti

Dromos, come sempre, è innanzitutto grande musica dal vivo: una regola confermata puntualmente anche in questa edizione con sette concerti serali (sempre con inizio alle 22) dal forte sapore internazionale chiamati a declinare, in note, il tema di questa edizione del festival. Si comincia a Mogoro, il 27 luglio, con la cantante Carmen Souza, portoghese di nascita ma di famiglia capoverdiana, che presenta il suo ultimo disco Kachupada, lavoro in cui propone la sua raffinata miscela di jazz, musica afro-latina, ritmi dell’Africa e della sua terra d’origine.

L’indomani (28 luglio) Mogoro saluta il ritorno a Dromos del pianista Roberto Fonseca, uno dei musicisti più talentuosi e carismatici del jazz cubano d’oggi. La sue esibizione è sulle tracce di Yo, la sua ultima fatica discografica, pubblicata lo scorso anno.

Qualche sera più tardi, il 31 luglio a Baratili San Pietro, il lirismo della tromba di Paolo Fresu e il pianismo eclettico dell’americano Uri Caine si ritrovano ancora una volta insieme su un palco per ricreare la straordinaria intesa di un duo dalla storia lunga e celebrata, impegnato in una serata a favore di “SenzAtomica”, una campagna di sensibilizzazione al disarmo nucleare promossa dall’Istituto Buddista Italiano Soka Gakkai: gli incassi del concerto contribuiranno infatti a far approdare in Sardegna una mostra multimediale itinerante che, dopo essere stata ospitata a Firenze, Milano, Pesaro e Bologna, sarà a Cagliari dal 2 al 22 dicembre.

A Oristano, baricentro di Dromos, la musica pianta le tende nel Giardino del Seminario per un trittico di concerti. Apre la serie, il primo agosto, il piano solo di un volto notissimo della scena jazzistica nazionale come Stefano Bollani, protagonista di una serata che verrà aperta dall’esibizione di Ilaria Porceddu, la venticinquenne cantante cagliaritana vista in scena all’ultimo Festival di Sanremo. L’indomani (venerdì 2) è il turno di una stella di prima grandezza nel firmamento della musica mondiale, Al Jarreau con il suo inconfondibile stile vocale, l’unico cantante ad aver vinto i Grammy Award, ben sette, in tre diverse categorie: jazz, pop e R&B. Chiude il tris di serate oristanesi, sabato 3 agosto, il jazz nordico del trombettista norvegese Nils Petter Molvaer, profeta, pioniere e ambasciatore nel mondo delle nuove tendenze nordeuropee.

Il programma musicale all’insegna di Krísis si chiude a Uras il 4 agosto con uno tra i più interessanti e originali interpreti della nuova canzone brasiliana, Lucas Santtana, atteso in Sardegna per un concerto sulla scia di “The God Who Devastes Also Cures”, il suo ultimo album.

Krísis – mostre e incontri

Non solo musica a Dromos: anche quest’anno il festival affida alle arti visive la missione di generare le suggestioni intorno al tema su cui fa perno l’intero cartellone. Ecco così due allestimenti a cura del critico Ivo Serafino Fenu, prodotti e ospitati dalla Pinacoteca Comunale “Carlo Contini” da lunedì 29 luglio (taglio del nastro alle 19): “Rosso Wagner e altre crisi”, una personale del pittore Salvatore Garau, e “Mattatoio”, mostra fotografica di Gianluca Vassallo.

Alla Krísis è dedicato anche un incontro ad hoc: mercoledì 31 luglio alle 20 a Baratili San Pietro due studiosi sardi dell’Università di Cagliari – Stefano Pira, docente di storia contemporanea, e Vinicio Busacchi, docente di filosofia teoretica –, corroborati dalla testimonianza di Paolo Fresu, affrontano il tema della crisi analizzandone il significato e valutandone la portata.

Alla complessa realtà del Mali, paese africano che esprime una nobile cultura non solo musicale, ma alle prese con una grave crisi politica dopo il colpo di stato del 2012, è dedicata invece una conferenza di Valerio Corzani, musicista, critico musicale e conduttore radiofonico, in programma a Oristano il 2 agosto alle 20 (titolo dell’incontro: “Le sabbie mobili del Mali”).

Decisamente in linea con il tema di Dromos è anche “E vedrà che la crisi passerà”, in scena lunedì 5 agosto alle 21 a Nurachi: ispirato nel titolo dal celebre motivetto degli anni Trenta di Rodolfo De Angelis “Ma cos’è questa crisi?”, lo spettacolo è scritto da Aldo Tanchis, e interpretato da Alessandro Melis con le musiche dell’Armeria dei Briganti.

Tempo creativo – letteratura e libri al Dromos Festival

Dromos è anche letteratura di qualità: forte del debutto dell’anno scorso, ritorna la rassegna letteraria curata dall’associazione culturale Luna Scarlatta. Gli appuntamenti si innestano proprio sulla prospettiva del cambiamento con il titolo Tempo creativo, ed esplorano il tema della creatività come antidoto alla crisi culturale e di pensiero che stiamo attraversando. Creatività che è estro artistico, sì, ma anche strumento pratico, approccio al quotidiano, capacità di vedere oltre e inventare nuove strade, nuovi percorsi per lanciare il cuore e le menti oltre l’ostacolo.

Quattro gli appuntamenti in programma (tutti con inizio alle 20). Mogoro ospita il primo, all’insegna di musica e parole (in piazza Giovanni XXIII e con ospiti ancora da definire), in coincidenza con la serata inaugurale del festival, sabato 27 luglio. Tutte a Oristano le altre serate di Tempo Creativo. Lunedì 29, al Chiostro dell’ex Asilo Sant’Antonio, incontro e reading con Simone Lenzi, scrittore, voce e autore del gruppo rock Virginiana Miller. Dal suo primo romanzo, La generazione, il regista Paolo Virzì ha tratto il film Tutti i santi giorni. Antonio Pascale, “intellettuale di servizio” di Le invasioni barbariche, autore di racconti, reportage, saggi e romanzi come Passa la bellezza e S’è fatta ora, tiene invece banco martedì 30 al teatro San Martino. Sette sere dopo (il 6 agosto), nuovamente all’ex Asilo Sant’Antonio, chiude la rassegna letteraria Nada Malanima, nota a tutti più semplicemente come Nada, autrice di musica e parole per le sue canzoni ma anche compositrice di poesia e romanzi intensi come l’autobiografico Il mio cuore umano o il più recente La grande casa.

Mamma Blues

Chiude l’immancabile appuntamento di metà agosto con la rassegna Mamma Blues, che quest’anno si estende nel tempo, passando da tre a sei serate, e nello spazio. Il cartellone prevede infatti anteprime a Villanova Truschedu (l’11) con il concerto di Skip “Little Axe” Mc Donald & Alan Glen, a Marrubiu (il 12) con lo Zuradili Blues Contest, un evento–concorso “aperto” alla partecipazione gratuita di otto artisti e/o band italiane, a cui ci può iscrivere fino al prossimo 25 luglio (regolamento e scheda di adesione sul sito di Dromos), e a Villa Verde (il 13) con Treves Blues Band & Guitar Ray. Per il gran finale Mamma Blues torna nell’abituale cornice di Nureci, dal 14 al 16 agosto, con Guitar Ray & The Gamblers, Los Gatos Bizcos e Bo Weavil protagonisti delle tre serate. Tra le novità di questa edizione, i concerti saranno preceduti ciascuno da una “lezione-concerto” sulla storia del blues, tenuta di volta in volta da alcuni degli stessi musicisti ospitati nel cartellone. Tre appuntamenti imperdibili per gli appassionati della “musica del diavolo”, dunque, con docenti d’eccezione come Fabio Treves & Kid Gariazzo, Guitar Ray & Gab D e Paolo Bonfanti.

Fifteen years along with Dromos. As per tradition, the concerts with big names – as already announced Carmen Souza, Roberto Fonseca, Stefano Bollani, Al Jarreau, Nils Petter Molvaer, Lucas Santtana, Paolo Fresu and Uri Caine – the literary festival organized by the cultural Scarlet Moon , exhibitions of Salvatore Garau and Gianluca Vassallo, meetings and other events in the program, have joined this year by a common thread inspiration: “KRISIS.” The theme chosen by the artistic director Salvatore Crown along with the art critic Ivo Serafino Fenu is highly representative of the time in which we live. Times of crisis, in fact, on which, however, one should look back to the double meaning of the term Greek etymology: KRISIS, in fact, alludes to both the complex and difficult condition of the contemporary world, and to those impulses for change that every crisis can trigger, and thus to portend a future not necessarily negative and, indeed, even better. A theme perfectly summed up by the poster artist Gianluca Vassallo: an icon archetypal and futuristic at the same time, disturbing and ambiguous, as mournful as a corpse wrapped in his shroud and palingenetic, as it can be an unborn child inside her placenta.

For the seventh year running back, also, Mother Blues, a major event in mid-August this year will stop in three days at Villanova anticipatory Truschedu, Marriottsville and Villa Verde before joining in the middle of August, in its usual location , Nureci, for the last three nights.

KRISIS – concerts

Dromos, as always, is first of all great live music: a rule promptly confirmed in this edition with seven evening concerts (always beginning at 22) with a strong international flavor called to decline, in notes, the theme of this year’s festival. It begins in Mogo, on July 27, with singer Carmen Souza, Portuguese-born Cape Verdean family, who is presenting his latest album Kachupada, work in which he proposes his fine blend of jazz, Afro-Latin rhythms of ‘ Africa and his native land.

The next day (July 28) Mogo Dromos greets the return of the pianist Roberto Fonseca, one of the most talented and charismatic musicians of Cuban jazz today. The exhibition is on the trail of his Yo, his last recording effort, published last year.

KRISIS – exhibitions and meetings

Not only music Dromos: this year the festival relies on visual arts mission is to create the suggestions around the topic on which hinges the entire billboard. Dromos is also quality literature: strong debut last year, returns to the literary festival organized by the cultural Scarlet Moon. Four scheduled appointments (all beginning at 20). Mogo is home to the first, in the name of music and words (in piazza Giovanni XXIII and guests still to be defined), coinciding with the opening night of the festival, Saturday, July 27. All in Oristano other evenings of Creative Time. Monday, 29, to the Cloister of the former nursery letters, meeting and reading with Simone Lenzi, writer, voice and author of the rock band Virginiana Miller. Closes a major event in mid-August with the Mother Blues festival, which this year extends over time, from three to six evenings, and space.
