1° EDIZIONE SULLE STRADE DEL BLUES – LAZZARETTO – CAGLIARI – 2-3-4 AGOSTO 20131st EDITION IN BLUES STREET – LAZZARETTO – CAGLIARI – AUGUST 2nd,3th,4th

Tre giorni dedicati al Blues in tutti i suoi aspetti, dalla musica alla poesia, dalla letteratura all’arte: prende il via nel primo fine settimana di agosto l’evento “Sulle strade del Blues”, che sarà ospitato nel centro Il Lazzaretto di Cagliari. Il festival, oggi alla sua prima edizione, vedrà in scena alcuni tra i più importanti musicisti della scena sarda e coinvolgerà anche poeti, narratori ed artisti.

Esordio del festival venerdì 2 agosto con lo spettacolo “Blue Blues: lacrime profonde di un cormorano pazzo” con lo scrittore Alberto Lecca e il chitarrista Roberto Palmas; a seguire, i chitarristi Antonello Marras e Daniele Carboni con brani del repertorio country-blues; Gianni Pintus and The Superfeed che proporranno una rivisitazione di brani di interpreti illustri come John Mayall, Tina Turner e Buddy Miles; la band Orangepeel, che si richiama alle sonorità del british blues e a nomi quali Yardbirds, Them, John Mayall and The Bluesbreakers; i Treeblues con i loro brani tra Blues, rock’n’roll e rock anni ’70, in chiusura di serata il live di Franco Montalbano, musicista di fama internazionale che ha all’attivo collaborazioni ed esperienze diversissime in giro per il mondo.

Il giorno successivo, sabato 3 agosto, in scena The Storytellers in “Lo sai quanto durano quarant’anni”, racconto originale tra parole e note blues fatto di viaggi, di partenze e di ritorni, legato al mare e alla città; si prosegue con la musica di una delle formazioni più longeve della scena rock blues cittadina, Downtown; a seguire il musicista Chicco Secci con la sua band I belli, buoni, brutti e cattivi tra rock’n’roll e rock blues; Johnny’s Blues Band, con un repertorio di brani della tradizione Blues, dal Delta del Mississippi alle sonorità urbane di Chicago, dalle ballate folk fino al sound tipicamente texano; i Gatti scroxiati & The holding company, cover band di Janis Joplin, e la Mauro Amara Blues Band, formazione nata da un progetto del chitarrista, tastierista e cantante cagliaritano.

Domenica 4 agosto sul palco il progetto GT Blues, nato da musicisti di formazione ed esperienze diversissime; Il Blair Blues Project Duo con un repertorio che ripercorre le principali tappe del genere dalle sonorità nate sul delta del Missisipi, al blues urbano elettrico degli anni 50 e a quello inglese dei Sessanta fino alle esperienze contemporanee; Dirty hands, band rock blues sulla lezione degli anni ’60/’70; Davide Pirodda Blues Band, formazione del musicista cagliaritano già noto con i Bluz:tep; in chiusura del festival, il live di Salvatore Amara & The Easy Blues Band che festeggeranno i vent’anni di attività: la band ha partecipato ai principali festival isolani come Narcao Blues e Rocce Rosse e si è esibita anche nel territorio internazionale.

A far da corredo al festival, le mostre “Colori in mi7-antologia blues su tela” del pittore Gavino Vinicio Tedde; “Coverstories” a cura di Chourmo ed Alberto Sanna; e “Africana. Magie culture colori” mostra etnografica a cura di Claudia Zuncheddu.

Il festival “Sulle strade del Blues” è organizzato da Lazzaretto di Cagliari in collaborazione con Salvatore Amara, Barbara Derosas e Paolo Demontis.

Three days dedicated to the blues in all its aspects, from music to poetry, literature, art: kicks off the first weekend of August, the event “On the streets of the Blues”, which will be housed in the center of Cagliari The Lazaretto . The festival, now in its first edition, will stage some of the most important musicians of the Sardinian and will also involve poets, storytellers and artists.

Debut of the festival Friday, August 2nd with the show “Blue Blues: Deep tears of a cormorant crazy” with writer Alberto Lecca and guitarist Roberto Palmas, followed, guitarists Antonello Marras and Daniel Carboni with country-blues songs of the repertoire; Gianni Pintus and The SuperFeed that propose a reinterpretation of songs by famous performers such as John Mayall, Tina Turner and Buddy Miles; Orangepeel the band, which refers to the sounds of the British blues and names such as the Yardbirds, Them, John Mayall and The Bluesbreakers, the Treeblues with their songs including blues, rock and roll and 70s rock, at the close of the evening’s live Franco Montalbano, an internationally acclaimed musician who has active collaboration and diverse experiences around the world.

The next day, Saturday, Aug. 3, on stage in The Storytellers “You know how long they last forty years,” the original story between words and blues notes made about travel, departures and returns, linked to the sea and the city, and continue with the music of one of the longest-lived of the scene rock formations blues town, Downtown, followed by the musician Chicco Secci with his band The beautiful, good, bad and ugly of rock and roll and blues rock, Johnny’s Blues Band, with a repertoire of traditional songs Blues from the Mississippi Delta to the sounds of urban Chicago, from folk ballads to sound typically Texan; scroxiati Cats & The Holding Company, Janis Joplin cover band, and Mauro Amara Blues Band, founded by a project of the guitarist, keyboardist and singer Cagliari.

Sunday, August 4th on the stage the project GT Blues, born musicians from diverse training and experience; Blues Project The Blair duo with a repertoire that covers the main stages of the genre born from the sounds of the Mississippi delta, the urban electric blues of the 50s and the English of the Sixties to the contemporary experience; Dirty hands, blues rock band on the lesson of the ’60s / ’70s, David Pirodda Blues Band, the musician formerly known Cagliari with Bluz: toe; closing of the festival, the live Salvatore Amara & The Easy Blues Band will celebrate twenty years of activity: the band has participated in major festivals islanders as Narcao Blues and Red Rocks and she performed well in international territory.

A kit to make the festival, exhibition “Colors in MI7-blues anthology on canvas” of the painter Gavino Vinicio Tedder; “Coverstories” by Chourmo and Alberto Sanna, and “African. Magie cultures colors” ethnographic exhibition curated by Claudia Zuncheddu.
